A game filled with gliches
14 May 2010
Summary: Comming off of MLB 2K8 I had high expectations for 2K9. These expectations were not met at all. 2K9 is much worse then 2K8. It is filled with gliches. For example, throwing the ball to first base and the firstbaseman's foot randomly comes off the bag. Also, when the ball is hit to the outfield, and right before the outfielder catches the ball, the player moves away, causing him to drop the ball.
Summary: Decent if you want a baseball game but too glitchy and shouldn't be purchased. These games get worse and worse each year. A quick fix for this get The Bigs and you should be fine.
Pros: The graphics are great and the new interactive full-control felt great but sadly other than that it is a standard baseball game.
Cons: I found that many glitches were exploited by the CPU which threw me off. For example you will get picked off when on 2nd unless you hold the runner by holding the trigger. After playing approximately 6 games the game now freezes during loading sequences after the game finishes. Even if I select "quit and save" it will freeze. At first I thought it was my 360 but every other game has never had this problem. Also this was installed onto my HDD. I uninstalled it and noth...
Summary: As someone already said, this game is LOADED with awful bugs and glitches... The graphics are nice and blah blah blah but there are so many glitches that it is impossible to enjoy this game... First off my "Franchise" has locked up after just 5 games... And what I mean by that is the console freezes every time I try to load my franchise...
Summary: I ignored the negative review and now i'm paying for my ignorance.I can tolorate all the glitches but when the game locks up during loading or after finishing the game to exit while playing the franchise mode making you start the season over, that pretty much put the nail on the coffin for this game for me.I bought the system when i purchased MLB 2K9 so i assume the game getting locked is the software issue.
Summary: Ahh the signs of spring time, the weather is getting warmer, opening day is right around the corner, and another horrible baseball game from 2K Sports is being released. Since the game has been awful for years, I didn't buy this, I rented it out of curiosity. I played it for about an hour, laughed at what I was seeing, took it back to Blockbuster and got another game. A 1-star game from last year has managed to get WORSE.
Summary: Since 2k brought the game back in-house some transition hiccups are to be expected, but not this many. This game is flat out unplayable and I've bought every 2k baseball for 360. Maybe next year they will have squashed the numerous bugs.
Pros: Better Crowd Graphics
Cons: More bugs than any other year. My season corrupted itself and now I can't even play it. I highly regret buying this game in every possible way. Avoid this year at all costs.
Summary: this game is terrible. i hesitated before buying it, having been burned by 2k sports games in the past. but, since it was the only baseball game out for xbox, i took the plunge. i would have been better (and felt better) donating my [...] bucks to the local food shelf. this game is garbage.
Summary: I have started 12 games and finished none since Sunday. I can't get over how bad this game is, I really want my money back. there is just too many things wrong with this game. I love baseball and that is the only reason I'm still giving this game a chance, but seriously don't know how anyone can say this game anything more then a 2. For the record I'm not a ps3 fanboy, in fact I'm a PC and EA MVP fanboy, but that makes me a dinosaur I suppose.
Summary: The title of this post should pretty much say it all: This is a BAD GAME. Many reviewers are noticing the rampant glitches in this year's version--many more than were in MLB 2K8, which wasn't all that smoothly done in the first place--and what they are reporting is accurate if, perhaps, understated. In terms of its programming, this game is a disaster.
Summary: This was the most disappointing baseball game I have ever played. There are some nice features, but overall not worth it. I decided to get this game for my 360 after I had been playing The Show on PS2 for the past 2 years. I thought that the HD and the upgraded features would make this worth it. I have been playing baseball games since the RBI days and this is the ONLY baseball game I have ever sold back. I did not even have it for a week.
