Summary: Comming off of MLB 2K8 I had high expectations for 2K9. These expectations were not met at all. 2K9 is much worse then 2K8. It is filled with gliches. For example, throwing the ball to first base and the firstbaseman's foot randomly comes off the bag.
Summary: Decent if you want a baseball game but too glitchy and shouldn't be purchased. These games get worse and worse each year. A quick fix for this get The Bigs and you should be fine.
Pros: The graphics are great and the new interactive full-control felt great but sadly other than that it is a standard baseball game.
Cons: I found that many glitches were exploited by the CPU which threw me off. For example you will get picked off when on 2nd unless you hold the runner by holding the trigger. After playing approximately 6 games the game now freezes during loading sequences after the game finishes. Even if I select "...
Summary: This is not going to be a very helpful review, but after just walking away from another frustrating attempt to have fun with this game, I had to come here and urge people not to buy this. As almost everyone else has attested to, this game just straight blows.
Summary: This game has good graphics but not good gameplay.Like sometimes they wont catch fly balls.Sometimes your out when your just standing on the bag.But it does feel good when you dive for the baseball. But on my opinion get mlb 09 because your just waisting your money on this game.
Summary: This game has issues, but it's the only real MLB game out there this year. That's the only reason I bought it. EA Sports, please make a baseball game next year. They took shortcuts in the game and you can tell. Too many glitches and too many dumb mistakes in the game.
Summary: So marred by glitches that it is unplayable. You can position your center fielder perfectly under a fly ball and he still may let it bounce off his chest, without even raising his arms. Egregiously terrible.
Summary: this game is the worst game i have ever played. dont buy it. the graphics are horrible and there are glitches. my mvp 2004 for the gamecube has better graphics than this game, easier to figure out the controls, and over all better.
Summary: I picked up MLB 2K9 at midnight on release day from my local videogame store. I had high hopes, since 2K hyped this game as much-improved over the disappointment that was MLB 2K8. At first, 2K9 looked to have some promise, but then a number of game-killing glitches entered the picture.
