  • Conclusion: When it comes down to choices, Major League Baseball 2K9 is a viable commodity. The franchise still has what it takes to play hard ball. The seamless pitching and hitting are two of the most appreciated instruments that you’ll find in this year’s baseball season.

  • Conclusion: Final Comments - I’d buy this game, if you’re a baseball fan. You might want to rent it before you buy it to see if it is the game for you (I’ve heard fans of MLB2k8 saying they hated it, and others that played it saying they loved it).

HonestGamers
18 March 2009
  • Excerpt: Someone sitting on the outside looking in might find the typical behavior of the typical sports game fan irrational at best. • Excerpt: Edgar Allan Poe was greatly underappreciated during his own lifetime. Yet despite the lack of a large following or far-reaching celebrity, the troubled writer kept on cranking out stories of the whacked-out and macabre until his premature and alcohol-fueled death in 1849.

  • Pros: Smooth multiplayer support
  • Cons: Lots of little control problems add up to a huge amount of frustration, Hit results can seem canned, Crammed with bugs, Homeruns are much too prevalent
