Summary: Parents need to know that this baseball simulation is a sanitized version of what you would see at a real ballpark -- these players don't chew tobacco, spit, or scratch themselves. The purity and beauty of the sport on display here might even encourage a family trip to the ballpark. Kids will see some advertising in the simulated parks. The game has an online mode ; Common Sense Media doesn't recommend online play for anyone under 12.
Summary: Major League Baseball 2K7 is a very polished game that really needs to be experienced by every baseball fan out there. The presentation is beautiful and the gameplay is solid. The only quirk again is in how difficult it is from the get go, but once you get a hang of the game, you'll feel rewarded as you find yourself playing better and better each time.
Cons: You're limited in what you can do, and the controls are unresponsive, No season mode or trade function, Graphics are a throwback to the early 1990s, Uniforms don't look right, and every player is the same bald guy with a hat, There's only one stadium
Summary: It's a whole new ballgame! Major League Baseball 2K7 redefines the pure baseball video game experience with true, next-gen details, all-new throwing mechanics and a revolutionary presentation system. Featuring stunning, lifelike player models, signature style animations, inside edge data and more...
Conclusion: In the end, MLB 2K7 is a good solid game of baseball that still offers plenty of room to grow for future versions. It’s a bit disappointing that more depth wasn’t added to the franchise, and that there were still a handful of glitches. MLB 2K7 is a good game that fans of the franchise will continue to enjoy in 2007.
Excerpt: There’s no denying the passion of a baseball fan. Rivaled only by college football - perhaps - no game generates more dyed in the wool fans with live, breath, eat and sleep your favorite team passion more than Major League Baseball. Whether it’s the perennial powerhouses like the Red Sox or Yankees or the lovable losers like the Cubs, there’s no mistaking a baseball fan.
Conclusion: To be honest the first Ratchet and Clank was a game that I really didn’t have a whole lot of fun with, it just seemed to get old really fast, but in Going Commando my opinion changed. The game is a fun one to play, with all of the upgrades and levels to play in you will never really get bored and it’s easy to just sit down and play this one for hours.
