Summary: As long as EA has been making football games, it surprised me how bad an effort this year's Madden was. Especially considering that last year's effort was quite good, and this year's NCAA was excellent. Madden 11 fails in every category. Graphically, it's okay, but doesn't look quite as pretty as NCAA 11. The animations are good, but the Locomotion system EA put in this year for both their football games only applies to the offense in Madden.
Summary: This is the latest installment of Madden and probably the worst in the last five years. Honestly, I think the '08 Version may have been the peak for this dynasty. I have never played a lot online, and now that you have to pay to do so I will never play online. If I could just update the '08 version with the current rosters for $10 I would be much happier than I am with this joke of a game.
Summary: Take Madden 10, pretty up a few things, slap on some unrequested and unhelpful "features", don't bother fixing most of the problems that have been plaguing the franchise for years, and you've got Madden 11. GameFlow. woo. Did you ever look at the suggestions that Ask Madden gives you and think gee, these are so awesome, I wish it would simply make the call for me? No, me neither, but I guess that's what they spent all those months working on.
Summary: Last year was great, the whole protak system was amazing. This year's gameplay tho just seemed...I don't know subpar and not fun. It's nice to see receivers staying in bounds on sideline catches and to see real people's faces. But the games modes weren't improved, playing on anything harder than Pro sucks, and the computer doesn't give you any time to make adjustments on defense. Those are just some of the main things that I didn't like.
Summary: This new madden 11 showed some promise, but after a few weeks with it im just as disappointed in ea sports as ever. For one thing this game has nothing on nfl 2k5 lets see thats over five years old and still a much better game.Better control of defense, better halftime show, better replay ability the list goes on and on.Just put it this way if you love the nfl and want your team with the current roster buy it,if not dont waste your money.I know ea fanboys will be mad at this...
Summary: I, like most, have been a huge Madden fan throughout the history of the game but I learned a very valuable lesson early on; NEVER BUY BACK TO BACK YEARS!! NEVER!! I did. And I'm sorry for it. Madden 10 was pretty good, I thought NCAA 10 was better and after playing the demo for 11 I was hooked. I wanted the updated rosters, I wanted gameflow and I was really getting use to the new running scheme. What I figured out after I bought the game was how much the hype failed.
Summary: After playing one game, I've decided to trade the game in while I can salvage money from it. Before I note a series of faults, I'd like to say a couple things. One: I've owned every madden since Madden 99, and have put in at least 50 hours into each game since. I have followed the ups and downs of the Madden series. Also, I'd like to note that the gameplay itself (not using gameflow) was an improvement over Madden 10, or any other Madden for that matter, in my opinion.
Summary: -Things that I like about MADDEN 11: Graphics, music options, & new kicking meter. -In no particular order ... "Things that stink about MADDEN 11": Gus Johnson gets too excited ... even over the commercial ad for Old Spice. He also gets is confused on some penalty calls. Sometimes Chris Collinsworth is almost non existent. He'll go through a whole series of plays without saying one word. The announcers are also mixed in the rear speaker too much for surround sound mode.
Summary: I admit, I'm a sucker for Madden games. Every year I go out and buy it so I can have updated rosters and a few new features. This year the game took a significant backwards step. The game plays well. Cool animations and the commentary is much improved. The graphics are still decent but seriously, how hard is it to make the crowd look realistic? The crowd looks like someone put a bunch of cardboard cutouts in the stand.
Summary: I have bought just about every Madden since the mid 90's and I just can't put into words how disappointed I was in this game. Madden 10 is the best and one year later, EA makes THE worst Madden since the 80's! To start, no ranked online games with friends even if you want to. EA server SUCK. Lag in every game. If your opponent quits before halftime, game over. No option to continue. New commentary is more exciting, but very fragmented and always sounds funny.
