Summary: I usually stay at least two to three years behind on sports games. I'd rather get 2 to 3 games then pay $60 for a new sports game every year. The last Madden I bought was 2006 on PS2. I thought it was okay. I actually liked the QB vision and it was a challenging game. It was not better than NFL 2K5 for PS2, which I still pop in to play. I have All-Pro 2K8 for the 360 as well. The gameplay is awesome to me. I do not like the kicking game although I am getting better.
Summary: I was extremelly surprised when I sat down to play this for the first time. I was actually dissapointed. I figured it would be at least like madden 07 with better gameplay and controls, but its not even close. I like on 07 when you were approaching the line of scrimmage the camera would show your players walking up and getting ready for the set themselves. It makes it a better in game experience and feels like you're actually in the game.
Summary: great game, the one thing i dont like is the new play picking system. If u play split screen (the best way to play) people can see what ur calling. But the audible system is so good that it makes up for it.
Summary: It has been a long time since I have played a good football game. When I started playing around with this game I realized that it would take a long time before I got bored with this one. There is so much you can do with this game. You can start with the franchise mode, which is you start a season with your team of choice or there is the superstar mode were you create a football player and get tossed into a free agencey.
Summary: I've spent hours and hours of my life on Madden and most years the game delivers moderate improvements. Is it worth the release price each year for a new game? I don't think so. Either way, Madden delivers the fix needed.
