Summary: Lost Planet has never gotten my attention for a few reasons. 1. The entire game is just a bunch of boss battles. 2. The game has awful controls. 3. You are a lone wolf in every single mission. 4. It tries to make a new genre. Well, none of this is game breaking, so I gave the game a shot. What was my result? A total waste of money! The game opens up with a team of soldiers in a big warehouse fighting this huge beast. Guess what happens after that?
Summary: don't buy this game! thats go out on a limb and say tht ur looking for a good shooter game... WELL U ARE OUT OF LUCK IF U BUY THIS TERRIBLE GAME! ok first the game is impossible! it takes forever to get to the end of the first lvl u say ok i just hit a check point and this is getting boring so ill save and quit ok first u turn it back on and ur at the beginning of the lvl again!
Summary: Well, let's start this off by saying never, ever EVER pay the full new price for this game. In fact, the 12.99 I payed to get this game used would probably have been better spent on Jack N the Box tacos in hopes I could give myself diabetes. As far as the story goes (easily the worst part of this game) I don't know if I hate the overall plot or the dialog more.
Summary: I picked this game up thinking all right, but no. This game sucks. The storyline is horrible. The graphics are OK but are not top of the line. Do not waste your money on this game. There is almost no point to this game at all. This game is basically a Japanese rip off of Halo and Gears of War. Within the game you use mechs, but they suck. They say that they make the game, but they just make it worse. You are barely given any background on what's happening.
Conclusion: I couldn't recommend this. It has reasonable graphics, some nice set piece's and the gameplay generally is ok, but it has numerous things that add up to me disliking it. The menu's (and their background) are ugly; the auto-targetting frequently targets something you're not aiming at; the cutscenes are mend-bendingly bad with awful scripting and wooden voice acting; invisible barriers which theres really no excuse for in any well designed game, some which prevent you...
Summary: I bought this game, because it was a top seller. I found that the gameplay was very repetative and therefore did not find it at all fun to play. i played this game once and then did a trade in.
Summary: If anyone out there is contemplating buying either this game or Gears of War, then please heed this warning. The gulf between this game and Gears of War is so immense that to even mention then in the same breath, does a disservice to the mighty Gears of War. As has been mentioned in other reviews the gameplay is repetitive, slow and frustrating to the point of insanity. Poorly executed and surely up for an award as the biggest let down in the Xbox 360 lineup.
