Summary: This is all on line. I thought I could play a single player game. I will not play this game on line and most likley will trade it off at Game Stop. I just don't like playing Xbox live that much unless I am playing with people I know.
Summary: Do you like gorgeous visuals? Do you like interesting set designs? Do you like to spend an hour mindlessly blasting enemy after enemy with little AI and little diversity? Do you enjoy suddenly missing some minor mission detail and being sent back to the very beginning of the level - no matter how many times you've cleared a particular area? I bought this game because I thought it would it would offer a good co-op experience with a brother out-of-state.
Summary: Okay, so I blame myself for doing the stupid thing of buying this game from watching a commercial and thinking it would be anything like that commercial suggested. Battling large monsters at the end of each level is where it deserves the 3 stars, had they have integrated this element of the game in to an online, team based, multiplayer mode it would be much more of a hit.
Summary: I was so excited about getting LP2, but when i actually sat down and played, I was bored and confused. Just couldn't get to grips with it, which is such a shame because it's such a good looking game! The graphics are really fab, so I won't put those down. I just didn't feel there was much guidance to new players, and the storyline seemed all over the place. I had no idea what was going on, and in the end, couldn't be bothered.
Summary: Visually the game is impressive, apart from that the game lacks story, and the game-play isn't challenging at all. I got it specifically to play split screen co-op after reading others reviews, the horrible camera makes it impossible to play without a magnifying glass. Buy something else.
Summary: Lost Planet. I remember when the original demo surfaced on the 360. It seemed to have a heap of potential. Then the full game was released and it was disappointingly average. So I had no real expectations for the sequel. It seemed to divide opinions, with many people swearing blind the campaign was great fun online. Must have been a different campaign to the one I played then. There were four of us on Live last night playing it for the first time.
Conclusion: the worst game i have ever played. the gameplay is INCREDIBLY repetetive and there really isnt any kind of story going on as far as i can tell. even for its cheap price it is still not worth it. dont waste your money. get a propper game.
Conclusion: Hmm...not sure how all the mags gave this a good reivew as Im playing Lost Planet 2 and it is absolute garbage. The training missions are ridicilous and are virtually impossible to complete as they are against the clock - which defeats the entire point of training. The controls make no sense, the gameplay makes no sense, the random combat and deaths make no sense, and the story makes no sense. The in game is highly repetivie, boring and lacks depth or excitement.
Conclusion: Built from the ground up as a multi-player game , sorry to say but I found this to be a very poor game , you really cant enjoy this is in single player , playing solo or with AI bots , if and only if you have three good mates who all have the same game and the time to play it , then you can get the best out of the campaign mode , the other modes are pretty basic and boring , bottom line disappointing
Excerpt: After playing the first one I was so exited but this game was such a disappointment. The graphics are awful! The magic spinning boxes that fly out of the enemies when they die, for you to collect, distroy any sence of realism that the first game created. On the second level, in the woods, the Image contrast was so high and the graphics so bad that I couldn't actualy see anything that was going on!
