Summary: This game screams classic. Hardly does a game combine story, action, and fluidity into a perfect splice of gamer goodness. Lost Odyssey did just that. Takes me back to the good ole' days of Final Fantasy 7 in its prime. If you weren't a total fan of FF7, I would still give this game a shot. It's just that unique and that good.
Summary: I'm not a good game reviewer, but this game sucked me in and compelled me to play it almost to the end, except that I got stuck and wandered off to play other things... but I'm going back it's addictive. I don't care what they say, it's still worth $60.
Summary: I'm not a big fan of Japanese RPG's. And the story to this game is very predictable and kind of sucks. However, for anyone that remembers and liked the classic feel of the final fantasy style RPG's (Attack-Run-Item...etc) should love this game. When you look past the just sheer ridiculous elements involved in the story and just get down to playing this underrated gem, I think your going to have a great time.
Summary: I am still working on this game but have to say I really, really like it and am not one bit sorry I got it. Yes I have had issues with the 4th disc. It was the first thing I tried since I was aware of the issues but I ran some very not tap water over it and wiped it with a soft cloth. At odd times I will have disc errors that come up but if I try again they go away. I finally installed the 4th disc and so far I have had one error issue come up but nothing else.
Summary: This gem got to my home in good time and was well packaged and in very acceptable condition. I enjoyed the game, which had nice graphics and a typical but well done story line for this type of game. I suggest this game to anybody that likes the Japanese RPG type games. Very time consuming but the story's completion is worth it.
Summary: From the creator and director of the first five Final Fantasy games, and father of the JRPG, Hironobu Sakaguchi comes an epic tale that deserves to sit among the greats in the genre. Lost Odyssey follows the story of Kaim, an immortal who has lived for 1,000 years but can't remember anything past 30 years ago.
Summary: All you need to know is that this game does the most important things right. The combat system is old-school turn-based and it's really done well, it's smooth and strategic. The game itself is beautiful, graphically. It is full of likable characters (even though the main protagonist seems really iffy at first), and the most important ones get a lot of great character development. This game has the best soundtrack for a video game I have ever heard, no lie.
Summary: Excellent RPG! I loved the turn based combat system, it is fun and far more relaxing than real time. The skill system is also very good. Normally, I don't like RPG's with a horde of extra characters, but the leveling xp system in Lost Odyssey for underlevelled characters is fast and very good The story in Lost Odyssey is excellent. The music is outstanding. Even the graphics are good. Lost Odyssey is a very good RPG, highly recommended.
Summary: As someone who grew up playing games like Final Fantasy, it's been a rough few years for me seeing as well-made RPGs have become a dying breed. So when I found out that Lost Odyssey was made by the creators of FF, I was immediately intrigued. I ordered it without doing much research, and although I've only gotten about 2 hours into the game, I'm already blown away. The attention to detail, the NPCs, the battle system, everything is amazing.
