Summary: Initially on release I was very excited about this title, I had high hopes for the Mistwalker stable, and despite not being a DragonQuest fan enjoyed my romp through Blue Dragon. On loading the graphics and voice acting were impressive, and I felt that, while sometimes tipping into melodrama, the dreams were a compelling part of the story. I actually had to stop playing the game when I reached the regenerating worm monster boss (very early on in game play).
Summary: This game is a basic RPG, there's not anything innovating about it but that's not really a bad thing. The one thing that is a little different is how some of the characters learn skills. They learn them from other characters and from equipping items, during battle your earn skill points that go towards learning the equipped skills.
Fun for Final Fantasy Fans, Annoying for anyone who hates being stuck in front of the TV for ages!

Summary: As a fan of the Final Fantasy games, I rather enjoy playing this one. It's nothing new, but I knew that when I bought it. The one thing that has spurred me to write this review today is that I have just spent over 2 hrs playing this game and did not manage to save it- and this isn't the first time. The Maps are SO difficult to read (I'm not playing on a HD TV) but if there is a save point around, you may not be aware of it because it might be on another level.
Summary: Im a big final fantasy fan, so when seeing this game i thought it would be awesome. So pros: awesome graphics, great story line, standard stuff you would expect. However, the fighting system is incredibly clunking. If you have played ff12, then you will find it mind blowingly, incredibly slow. Which is a shame.
Summary: I loved this game UNTIL i got to disc 4. It just wouldn't load. Had a read around and found this a common problem. Went out and bought another copy ... put in disc 4 and it wouldn't load either. It definately wasn't my xbox. Don't think it's worth buying 3 copies!
Summary: I didn't like Lost Odyssey for the first couple of hours of playing. The opening is a let down (flashy acrobatics in the introductory cut-scene don't translate to the player-controlled, turn-based boss fight you're eventually dumped in), lead character Kaim is another sulky mercenary/soldier type, the environments have a colour palette consisting of brown and grey, and things start off fairly humourless (I personally can't stand po-faced RPGs).
Summary: Lost Odessey is a unique game. Once played never forgotten. The story line is wonderful and the ending is the best I've ever seen in any video game over the last 30 years. The graphics are better than that of Oblivion and the facial expressions top that of Mass Effect. The character animations are first class. Some action scenarios are breathtakingly exciting in which you have to fight for your life against seemingly impossible odds while the clock is ticking.
Blue Dragon is a better game - lost odyssey is a better movie!!

Summary: I'll split my review into parts: Graphics: Breathtaking, although some are just direct imports from blue dragon with shading added - I really can't fault the graphics though. Some of the cities are just stunning. Story: Engaging storyline, phenomenal characterisation. The main characters are interesting (which was where blue dragon fell down) and all seem to have their own histories and personalities. I must admit i did find Seth's hair a little disturbing though....
