Summary: Initially on release I was very excited about this title, I had high hopes for the Mistwalker stable, and despite not being a DragonQuest fan enjoyed my romp through Blue Dragon. On loading the graphics and voice acting were impressive, and I felt that, while sometimes tipping into melodrama, the...
Summary: Just as a counterpoint to the overwhelming good reviews of this game, here are a few things you should know before buying this game. 1) Make sure you enjoy Japanese-style RPGs, because they have a format which, unless you're a fan, can be extremely tedious and repetitive.
Excerpt: i just finished this game, and i tell u its no big deal. jrpgs are getting old. they are all the same. if they don't come up with a revolutionary rpg, they're fucked. this one is no different than any other turn-based rpg. and its insanely difficult in the last 10 hours.
Excerpt: alright... so... i bought this... played for like two hours.... laughed at it.... and played FFX. there are so many little things that i noticed in this that just... turned me off... i know it's not good to base a review off of two hours of gameplay but.... seriously... what the hell?
Summary: What I would have liked to know before considering buying this game: It has very similar game mechanics to Blue Dragon. Similar turn-based combat, similar skills system, similar annoying kicking of inanimate objects to earn items, similar extensive use of cut-scenes, and even the same monsters.
Summary: Positives: Good, original story with interesting characters. Vibrant, beautiful and varied environments. Good graphics and effects. Challenging puzzles to test skill and intellect. Kiam and his companion's readable memories are well written and engaging. Plenty of combat.
Now an old game, but has it stood up to the test of time....review

Summary: I never managed to play this game at the time, so now having the chance, 2007 is a long time ago with games, does it still cut the mustard? I thought I'd give a quickish review, maybe it will help a fellow gamer interested in back catalogues.
Fun for Final Fantasy Fans, Annoying for anyone who hates being stuck in front of the TV for ages!

Summary: As a fan of the Final Fantasy games, I rather enjoy playing this one. It's nothing new, but I knew that when I bought it. The one thing that has spurred me to write this review today is that I have just spent over 2 hrs playing this game and did not manage to save it- and this isn't the first time.
Summary: Im a big final fantasy fan, so when seeing this game i thought it would be awesome. So pros: awesome graphics, great story line, standard stuff you would expect. However, the fighting system is incredibly clunking. If you have played ff12, then you will find it mind blowingly, incredibly slow.
