Summary: Just as a counterpoint to the overwhelming good reviews of this game, here are a few things you should know before buying this game. 1) Make sure you enjoy Japanese-style RPGs, because they have a format which, unless you're a fan, can be extremely tedious and repetitive. It's a lot of turn-based fighting over-and-over again, watching the characters taking their turns in orderly fashion to hit the bad guys.
Summary: Initially on release I was very excited about this title, I had high hopes for the Mistwalker stable, and despite not being a DragonQuest fan enjoyed my romp through Blue Dragon. On loading the graphics and voice acting were impressive, and I felt that, while sometimes tipping into melodrama, the dreams were a compelling part of the story. I actually had to stop playing the game when I reached the regenerating worm monster boss (very early on in game play).
Now an old game, but has it stood up to the test of time....review

Summary: I never managed to play this game at the time, so now having the chance, 2007 is a long time ago with games, does it still cut the mustard? I thought I'd give a quickish review, maybe it will help a fellow gamer interested in back catalogues. So: Type of play: It's old school turn based, the "chess" of playing, no x button mashing. Some would say this is outdated, you decide.
Summary: Now this game starts out really strong and overall it's story is really interesting. but it's really long which i don't usually mind but at times this game can get really annoying and it's pretty generic in my opinion but if you can get it for a good price i would pick it up.
Summary: This game is a basic RPG, there's not anything innovating about it but that's not really a bad thing. The one thing that is a little different is how some of the characters learn skills. They learn them from other characters and from equipping items, during battle your earn skill points that go towards learning the equipped skills.
Fun for Final Fantasy Fans, Annoying for anyone who hates being stuck in front of the TV for ages!

Summary: As a fan of the Final Fantasy games, I rather enjoy playing this one. It's nothing new, but I knew that when I bought it. The one thing that has spurred me to write this review today is that I have just spent over 2 hrs playing this game and did not manage to save it- and this isn't the first time. The Maps are SO difficult to read (I'm not playing on a HD TV) but if there is a save point around, you may not be aware of it because it might be on another level.
Summary: Im a big final fantasy fan, so when seeing this game i thought it would be awesome. So pros: awesome graphics, great story line, standard stuff you would expect. However, the fighting system is incredibly clunking. If you have played ff12, then you will find it mind blowingly, incredibly slow. Which is a shame.
Summary: I loved this game UNTIL i got to disc 4. It just wouldn't load. Had a read around and found this a common problem. Went out and bought another copy ... put in disc 4 and it wouldn't load either. It definately wasn't my xbox. Don't think it's worth buying 3 copies!
Worth a look if your after a new Final Fantasy type game

Excerpt: The creators of Final Fantasy have made another game that they didn't think was worthy of having the official Final Fantasy title, and they were right, it doesn't have the caliber of a FF game. I think it was more of an experimental approach to an RPG, which went down pretty well, but was far from an overnight classic.
