Summary: Was excited to buy the game when I saw it used at Gamestop for only 9$. Got home to play, could not play because I don't have the special microphone. Would have liked it if I could play it. This game brand usually sucks anyway.
Easily bottom of the barrel in relation to karaoke games

Summary: First of all, this isn't really a karaoke game. It's a sing-along game. That's my first peeve with the game. There is an option in the menue to adjust the volume of the vocals, but it didn't seem to make any difference. And the vocals of the actual singers in the songs always seemed to interfere with what I was trying to sing. That seems odd given the fact that my second complaint is that there is no gain for the microphone.
Not enough songs, does not work well with your own collection of songs

Summary: I bought this for my wife and she hates it. She gets only 40 songs compared to 2,000+ with the Magic Sing. The downloaded on new songs are slow and expensive and the selection is still very limited. Don't think about trying to connect it to your iPhone as it won't work. I guess I should have read the reviews more carefully before buying this.
Summary: Only one of the two included microphones worked out of the box. I got the game for the microphones to go with Rock Band 3, so this was very disappointing. The actual game itself isn't nearly as good for singing as Rock Band 3 in my opinion; it doesn't seem as polished or fun. The song list is somewhat limited, though you do get to watch music videos for some of the songs while you play.
Unless you have your Xbox hooked up to the itnernet, and have time to jump through hoops to make the mics work...

Summary: ...than by all means go for it. If however you're like me, a solitary gamer who has no ned for XBox live and thus left it unconnected, and if like me you prefer not to have to preform chorse like making sure both mikes are turned on at the same time and pushing a little button next to your memory card a bunch of times and still not having it work, and then finding out after you paid for the damn thing that you ahev to dowload a patch, for a brand new freaking game...
Summary: I love the American Idol games, and this game has the potential to be even better. Sadly, so far it isn't. The game comes with a pretty lame supply of music and there are even fewer downloads. Yes, you can add some of your own music collection, if they are in the correct format. However, if you use an IPOD, and iTunes, you will find that most of your music will not transfer. The music that did transfer, does not mix correctly with the mics.
Summary: One of the major reason I bought the game is because I was really excited about using my own music collection. You can use your music collection but it does not display any lyrics. To make things worse, there is hardly any music you can purchase. If you see value paying [...] for 40 songs, then go right ahead, for me, I wish I had never bought this game!
