Summary: I have enjoyed the lego series for star wars and lord of the rings but for some reason pirates of the caribbian isn't as fun. The missions are sometimes not the ones you would expect, for example in the 2nd movie there is a whole mission for going through the swamp to see kalipso when the movie only shows about 10 minutes.
Summary: I have no complaints about Lego Pirates of the Caribbean from a single player standpoint. The gameplay is great, the entertainment value is high, and the game's extensive extras makes for really high replay value. If playing on your own, this game is a great installment to the Lego video game series. BUT... For myself and those I know who buy the Lego video games, the real draw is the multiplayer co-op mode.
Not quite the buried treasure I was looking for...

Excerpt: "...a big fan of the Lego series of platform games, which begun with Lego Star Wars and had crossed over to different film franchises such as Indiana Jones or Harry Potter and this game focuses on the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Like earlier games, each film in the Pirates of the Caribbean is represented using Lego versions of the film characters to tell an unique interpretation of the movies. I am not as familiar with the subject matter for this ...
Pros: Lots to do for completists, Easy to pick up and play, Two Player co - op
Cons: Shorter than previous Lego Games, Not as interesting as other franchises
Summary: Great in parts. Who wouldn't want to be capt jack? But the game is a a bit of a crash fest. All the bugs are well documented but a patch is not in the pipeline. We have your money, so forget it. All the crashes have work arounds. Just a shame that tt and Disney don't give a damn. 3 star review is for the bugs alone.
Summary: A great game which is let down by the freezing problem mentioned by other reviewers. I'm playing this on my XBox 360 250 GB and it's the only game which has ever given me problems like this. Why hasn't a patch been released to cure this?
Summary: My partner is not a gamer, but there is one franchise that she loves - the LEGO games. We have in our time played and completed them all from `Star Wars' all the way to `Harry Potter' (and seemingly back again). The series of games have all been pretty similar - 2 player local co-op, platforming, cartoon fighting, building and finding hidden items.
Summary: I have played almost all the Lego series on the Xbox 360 and own quite a few of them. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is the latest that I have bought and am currently playing. The graphics have improved over the last game (Lego Harry Potter) and brings the same fun of smashing everything into little bricks and collecting studs.
Summary: As with previous lego games, this one is really fun. But I warn you, this game don't even seem like a finished product. Seriously bad glitches, with things turning invisible, and some things preventing you from completing the game. The worst of the problems is the freezing. This will happen when you least expect it, REALLY frustrating when you get everything in a level, get near the end of that level, and the whole game freezes.
Lego Pirates - A Decent if slightly unimpressive game

Excerpt: "Lego Pirates is the latest of the Lego games, and is based of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean series of the films, just in time for the latest film, On Stranger Tides. The cast of that series of films are portrayed in their full glory, all in Lego HD graphics. Fans of the series will recognise scenes from the first three films, and get a good insight into the latest film too. Graphically the game is similar in looks to other Lego games, but with ...
