Summary: I play the Lego games with my 5 year old son and he loves them all. This one is not as fun or open architecture as the Batman or LOTR games, but fun nonetheless. For the younger kids, it may be a little difficult to understand how to change between spells and what spells are in what slot, and which ones to use for which puzzle, but since my son is never playing alone he gets by.
Summary: Really enjoyed this game! The Potterverse is beautifully realised, and the game play is fairly straightforward. Getting some of the tokens and shield pieces can be a little tricky, but in a good way.
Summary: I love Harry Potter and I was a LEGO fiend when I was little. It seemed logical to get this. I just finished all four years of this one and it was super fun. Some of the bosses are a little frustrating but that's supposed to be the point. This would be good for all ages. I loved seeing how the storylines played out but in LEGO form. Wondering what they were going to keep and get rid of. I haven't really gotten into the "builder" levels.
Summary: So, why did I buy this game? Well, I guess because it was cheap, and it was different than anything else out there which I currently own/play. I know these Lego games are popular, even more so now due to the movie's success, but I wanted to check for myself. It's ok. There's some humor to the little cut scenes, the telling of an already-familiar story. There's no speech, it's all grunts and laughs, etc. But it's cute.
