Final Fantasy XIII-2

Hooked Gamers
13 February 2012
  • Conclusion: In the history of the Final Fantasy series, they have never been accused of being ‘ugly’ or poorly presented for their time. This is because Square always manage to push the boundaries of the technology on offer, and Final Fantasy XIII-2 is no exception. With excellent voice acting, fantastic background music and beautifully animated FMVs complimenting the superb in-game graphics, the presentation is stunning as always.
  • Pros: An enjoyable story, with none of the linear corridors of the previous title. Little additions make it a very strong RPG.
  • Cons: The battle system is still a bit pedestrian, and the changes to the Crystarium are irritating. The addition of Cinematic Action sequences is an annoyance and the ending is disappointing.

Review: Left 4 Dead 2: The Sacrifice (Xbox 360, PC)

Gamer 2.0
12 October 2010
  • Conclusion: You get a new campaign map in The Sacrifice plus the addition of an old favorite in No Mercy.  Besides Versus Mode, various locations from both campaigns are also available in Scavenge and Survival modes as well, further enhancing the time you spend with the new content.  The Sacrifice campaign itself is relatively short, taking only about half an hour to complete in single player or an hour in Versus, but the rush from trying to successfully conquer the finale will have...

Left 4 Dead Accessibility Issues / Concerns

ablegamers.com
4 August 2010
  • Excerpt: First and foremost, deaf gamers should experience few, if any, difficulties with Left 4 Dead. There are three subtitle options – none, subtitle and full caption. The full caption option seems to include every single bit of audio in the game, even if the text occasionally doesn’t match what a character actually says.

Left 4 Dead Xbox 360 Review

Console Obsession
30 May 2010
  • Excerpt: Despite its cinematic inspirations, Left 4 Dead doesn’t try to be anything but a game. Essentially it’s a zombie blaster, with the emphasis on co-op play, where any form of narrative was clearly an afterthought for the beloved developer: Valve. The flimsy story covers a zombie apocalypse, but doesn’t tell us much about how this disaster came about, nor does it tell us much about the four characters, in fact it tells us very little.

Review: Left 4 Dead 2: The Passing (PC, Xbox 360)

Gamer 2.0
23 April 2010
  • Conclusion: The Passing is a worthy addition to Left 4 Dead 2 and at only $7 (560 MP, free for PC owners) you simply cannot find a better bargain to get a fresh, new level for you to enjoy.  More zombies, new weapons and a frantic new Mutation mode all make The Passing well worth the price of admissions and receive a passing grade.

Review: Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC)

Gamer 2.0
18 November 2009
  • Conclusion: Whether you are a fan or not, Left 4 Dead2 will surely hook you for plenty of hours as it delivers one of the most solid and polished multiplayer experiences of the year.  With plenty of new campaigns that should fuel your zombie killing needs and a Survival and Scavenge mode to break up the pace, there are plenty of choices for you to keep coming back for more.

Left 4 Dead: Crash Course (X360) - Review

VGChartz
14 October 2009
  • Excerpt: I’m pretty sure the Left 4 Dead 2 boycott group wanted free updates for Left 4 Dead (and it is free if you own the PC version), so this 560 Microsoft Points (~£4.75/$7.00) package doesn’t quite fit the bill. Nonetheless, if this is what the boycotters were wishing for then they should have thought again because this is a DLC pack which falls completely flat.
