Summary: Game is amazing. Been waiting a long time to finally get my own copy. Bought used to avoid paying extra for nothing and I'm only slightly disappointed. Bottom latch for case is broken so when it was delivered the discs were everywhere.
Summary: This game has some interesting concepts, but largely fails in the execution of them: the shootout action sequences are clunky and boring, driving the streets is tedious and the vehicles handle poorly, and collecting clues for your cases is a rather haphazard affair.
Summary: It is a great idea - but not executed as well as rockstar normally do. Hopefully if there is another game like this, there will be more to do outside the story.
Pros: I love rockstar games.... but L.A. Noire is not their best effort. I applaud the intention. I think a real detective game is a great idea (Though CSI may have killed this through idiocy). The game is mostly good, with interesting cases - but not good enough.
Cons: There is very little to do other than the cases. Rockstar's best game IMO (Red Dead Redemption) has so much to do outside the storyline - But L.A. Noire seems to be more about the cut scenes. In some cases, there is no reason to choose one suspect over another (and often you are unable to have ev...
Summary: I was kinda disappointed with this game. It was probably because of the high expectations this game had going into it's release but I was expecting a Game of the Year candidate. What I got was only a good game with some flaws.
Summary: After playing this game for five days I am still just giving it a 5 out of 10 due to technical issues. Despite some people claiming its the users fault, the game is simply not optimized for some hardware.
Summary: First, I went into this game with the mindset that the cashier at Gamestop recommended: no expectations that this game will play anything like other Rockstar titles... and that helped for the most part.
Summary: L.A. Noire captivated me when they released the gameplay videos and trailers. I was even more enthralled when I saw all of the work that went into the motion capture for the game. When I finally got the game I was floored at how amazing it was.
Summary: The cases are extremely repetitive. The visuals fall in the uncanny valley. Some of the "correct" answers during interrogation are extremely wrong. For example, I asked a young girl about her mom's jewelry. She said she didn't pay attention to the jewelry, which I doubted.
