  • Excerpt: We've all heard the saying that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I think we've all experienced games that, while flawed in many areas, seem to provide a fun experience in the end. And yet, I believe this is the first time in my life that I have ever played a game in which the whole is worse than the sum of its parts.

  • Conclusion: As a single-player experience then, there are clearly not enough quality elements here to recommend above most other titles in this genre. Co-op play does lend life to the experience, and running around with friends can be a lot of fun, easing the levelling experience along the way. Story missions can also be completed in this mode, which again is a considerable bonus to progression. Overall though, CoD just doesn't make the grade on either front.

  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is In the beginning, Light and Death separated and the world was born.  But with it came the never ending conflict that threatened the same world to end. To avoid it, Nible the lord of Light made a pact with Encablossa the lord of Darkness so each of them can rule the world for an age. And by the time the age ends for one’s ruler ship, the other would rise to rule it with his image and the other would rest till his time comes again.

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: I really tried to like this. I have a penchant for all things draped in sword and sorcery. Sadly it tested my mettle and my mettle failed. For a game that demands so much from the player, it gives very, very little back.

  • Excerpt: Aside from that, on paper this game should be one of the worst releases of 2008. Somehow, though, it brings the player back for more, touching that deep-down drive all humans have to grind their way through thousands of brain-dead monsters for a better weapon or piece of armor. And you will be grinding. Each level has four regions of varying length, but generally speaking, the further you are in the game the longer you'll have to travel to get to the next region.
