Conclusion: It was tough to get the hang of it. this is my favorite offline co op game ok its starts off with player ones charactor kane has suddenly woken up into a unexpeted breakout from jail with player twos charactor lynch but lynch is told to bring kane to the seven a organisation that he owes money to but if he dosent get the money in time they will kill his wife and daughter overall this is a great story of revenge tragety and murder but it needs a second play to realise its...
Summary: Kane & Lynch is a good idea that is plagued by poor controls, unbalanced weapons, a boring story and some questionable writing. That's not to say that you won't have a good time playing through this brief action game, but you will have to put up with a lot of poor development problems before really enjoying yourself. Excerpt: IO Interactive decided it was time to take a break from the Hitman series and try out co-op gaming, with not one, but two anti-heroes; and thus Kane & Lynch Dead Men was born. Ill admit, when the game was announced I felt that it could have been something that would be interesting, I mean I love getting to play a bad guy in games and the ability to do this co-op like in Gears of War? Awesome in theory, not so much in execution.
Summary: Io Interactive is best known for its stealth-focused Hitman series, but there's nothing quiet and sneaky about its latest release, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. This time around, the developer put together a crime-themed shooter that starts out with a couple of simple, heist-like objectives and then rapidly spins out of control until, without much warning, you're gunning down soldiers in the middle of a foreign revolution.
Pros: Interesting multiplayer mode, You'll see a variety of different scenery as you play
Cons: Artificial Intelligence is quite lacking, Weapons don't feel right, Characters and storyline do everything in their power to drive you away from the game, No online co-op mode
Conclusion: Kane & Lynch promises much more than it actually delivers. It’s still a fine game, but is let down far too frequently by a number of minor issues that could have been corrected with more development time. It’s got some great elements, just not enough of them.
Conclusion: Dead Men would work better as a movie. It's got a sharp, fast paced story, some huge set pieces and constantly looks to Michael Mann for cinematic inspiration. It's not the first time IO Interactive has gone anti-stealth, but those of you expecting an action game on par with their earlier Freedom Fighters are set for a disappointment.
Conclusion: Kane and Lynch: Dead Men is a powerful and engrossing single player experience with believable characters and a plot that pulls no punches, but that alone is not enough to draw gamers in. The fragile alliance online mode will add some longevity, but cumbersome character control, shocking AI and a poor cover mechanism leaves this game floundering in a sea of quality pre-Christmas releases.
