Conclusion: Pose and shake is where you try to imitate the pose displayed on the screen- I've never been able to be recognized as doing the pose, though it works for my (much shorter) daughter. But really, this game is very cheap ($30 retail price on launch) and the core game is the same as Just Dance 3. And my daughter really loves it (though even she detests the lame baby song dances). I would probably have given this 4 stars if the achievements were not written by insane monkeys.
Excerpt: In Just Dance Kids 2, the popular dance series lets younger players groove like a champion. Thanks to Kinect’s innovative tech, Just Dance 2 Kids can get players up and dancing like never before. The game opens with a simple, effective tutorial that makes sure players of all ages can get into the mix, which was a wise inclusion. The players can dance solo, dance as a team, or use more simplified gestures instead of full body movement.
Excerpt: The Just Dance franchise has seen some success on the Nintendo Wii and recently the series arrived on the Xbox 360 Kinect with Just Dance 3. The Kinect has seen quite a few dance games since it’s launch a little over a year ago and gamers now have more of a selection of dance games at their disposal. Yet none of those dance games have been geared towards the younger gamers aged 3-7 years or so.

I’ll admit, I fell headlong into that genre and it took me a couple of years to get my head out of the sand.
