Summary: I was really impressed with Just Cause. It's not the best game out there - far from it. The story is basic and boring, as well as a lot of the side missions (Strongholds etc. are basically the same repetitive assaults over and over and over). The fighting isn't bad, but it would never be called good either. So why did I rate the game so high? This sandbox is one of the most enjoyable in recent memory to just play around in.
Total replay value...worth the inexpensive price for sure!

Summary: The map is huge, the stunts are rediculously impossible and make the game so fun. The graphics don't awe and even the colors seem overdone and corny. If you want a realistic, strategy sneak around and flip switches to solve the puzzles and then finally after dodging, ducking and hiding kill the 3 bad guys per level then this is not for you. This game requires almost no strategy and is probably easier than it should be, but it is just so fun.
It's like taking a vacation to the Caribbean... only with guns!

Summary: This game doesn't do a whole lot. It's mostly kill this and grab that. Most of the enemies are about as dangerous as a wet bag full of puppies. But what this game does do, it does VERY well! The freedom in this game is phenomenal, allowing you to rampage like a little Godzilla from one end of a lush tropical paradise, to the other. Jumping from vehicle from vehicle, once mastered, will allow you to zip around at maddening speed.
Summary: If you are looking for one of those super-realistic games where everything is completely plausable, find another game. Just Cause is essentially an action movie translated into a game, and it turns out very well. If you pictured James Bond being played by Antonio Banderas with M played by Craig T. Nelson, you wouldn't be too far off target. I would recommend it to most people.
Summary: I knew I liked this game after jumping out of a helicopter at about 15 thousand feet, freefalling AFTER the helicopter (with clouds rushing by), grabbing onto the falling helicopter in freefall, and getting back and flying off again with about 1500 or so odd feet to spare. :) The glide ratio of the parachute took some getting used to (it's much higher than typical skydiving parachutes), but it's for the best since it allows one to travel really far under canopy.
Conclusion: I enjoyed this game immensely. Enormous map coupled with a myriad of weapons and vehicles, it's great fun. However I did get bored of the side missions fairly quickly as they are quite samey, and the physics are quite crazy. The main storyline however is really enjoyable, as is enjoying the islands by parachute!
Conclusion: its a very big game, its got great graphics for a project this big, its got a good storyline, loads of cool boats, helicopters, cars, tanks, planes ect ect... but the problem is after a while i all wears off, the game is so big it takes ridiculous amounts of time to travel from place to place, and aside from the story missions which will take you a day to complete, there are a million side missions that are either liberation or assassination.

Summary: In the style of Saint's Row and Grand Theft Auto, Just Cause lets you free a stereotypical Caribbean island from a drug-lord-connected corrupt president. You're not a secret agent, nor a tough-talking street punk. Instead, you are Rico Rodriguez - smooth, suave, and probably decked out in rich Corinthian leather. The island map you explore is HUGE, made up of many smaller sub-islands with roads, jungles, bridges, coastlines, and tons of villages.
Summary: I got “Just Cause 2” first (which is an awesome game by the way), and
I had to give the original “Just Cause” a go. I wasn't disappointed. Not
as many bells and whistles – graphics are definately a step back but this is
still a very playable game. Still standbox game play as well as structured story
line and missions – so something for everyone. Heaps of unique vehicles to
drive/ride/jump in, and the huge playing map which offers hours of gameplay.
