Craig is hired to protect a research team studying the strange temporal energy of the island. The game places gamers in a fight for survival as they are pulled back in time through a the temporal vortex which sends them back to the Cretaceous period.

Features

Jurassic: The Hunted features combat encounters that include arena style fights, fortification sieges, survival modes and boss battles. It also allows players to visualize and then target an opponent’s weak points in slow motion. The game features modes such as Survival Mode, and mini bosses in some levels of the game. It also features a menagerie of creatures such as the Velociraptor: These small creatures appear early in the game as the first enemies, but are quickly replaced by Deinonychus. In later levels, an albino variation of them appear in caves but are otherwise exactly the same. In “Survival” mode, the albino versions give you grenades when killed. Velociraptor is one of the misplaced animals; fossils of the creature have only been found in Asia; Deinonychus which are featured throughout the game as the basic enemy, and resemble the Velociraptors in the Jurassic Park series. These creatures fill similar roles the velociraptors have in the movies and are featured in two variants: a common red one and a rarer green one that is harder to kill; Utahraptor which is a rare enemy appearing only a few times in the game, as “mini-boss” enemies. They are very difficult to kill because of their fast movements and large amounts of health. The Utahraptor appearance doubles through several levels in the game, when first encountered, it is alone, but increases to two in “Out of the Frying Pan” and four in “Escaping Extinction”. In “Escaping Extinction,” they are the only enemies in the level; Pachycephalosaurus which is one of the game's few herbivorous dinosaurs; Brachiosaurus which is an ambient animal that is only featured in the cinematics; Dilophosaurus which is one of the few non-Cretaceous animals in the game that appear from temporal vortexes, which explains their appearance in the Cretaceous period; Pterosaurs that are similar to the cearadactyls in Jurassic Park, which can swoop down and attack; Tyrannosaurus, scorpions that resemble Brontoscorpio; Spinosaurus which serves as a boss in two separate levels; and Triceratops.
