Joe Danger: Special Edition
13 January 2012
Conclusion: Joe Danger: Special Edition is the definitive version of the game and one that the plucky stuntman can be proud of. It is disappointing that the new content isn’t available to PSN users who supported the developer in the first place, but it does give Live Arcade users the chance to experience this enjoyable title for the first time and in full glory – essentially increasing Joe’s fanbase in the process.
Conclusion: As far as the 360-specific additions are concerned, there are a few extra environments and characters for you to get your teeth into, but the core of Joe Danger is resolutely the same as its PS3 cousin. And for once, that’s a fantastic thing. If you enjoyed Trials , and if you like Sonic or even Tony Hawk , you owe it to yourself to give this a try.
Summary: Joe Danger Special Edition has a lot of gameplay on offer but doesn’t quite become the super thrill ride that it hopes to be. Still, it’s quite a good game for the price and it certainly did not feel like the price was too high for the product.
Excerpt: Joe Danger has spent most of the year as a Playstation 3 exclusive; their version of Trials HD, if you will. This exclusivity has been bypassed with Joe Danger: Special Edition on the Xbox 360.
Pros: + Massive amount of content, + Easy to learn track editor, + Encourages multiple run-throughs of levels
Cons: Controls can get a bit much, Frustrating in places
The Down On His Luck Stuntman Finally Lands On XBLA
14 December 2011
Conclusion: Concept: Bring the fantastic PSN title to XBLA, with some added bonuses
Graphics: An immediately charming visual style stays fresh throughout
Sound: Catchy tunes and minimal but effective VO work
Playability: Bike handling is extremely tight, and mistakes are your fault more often than the game's
Entertainment: Joe Danger's fast-paced and entertaining gameplay is great for short sessions or long marathons
Replay: Moderately High
Excerpt: After the Xbox 360 and the PS3 each got an exclusive downloadable motorbike simulator, picking the photo-finish winner between Trials HD (2009) and Joe Danger (2010) was a tough decision, made even pricklier given the nature of console-backing fanboys. Now that both racers have entered the same circuit, we’re declaring Danger the winner, as the improvements Hello Games has implemented in Joe Danger: Special Edition put it ahead by a hair.
Pros: + Excellent motorbike physics and multiple-objective races provide immense replay value., + Unique art and audio style put
Cons: ? Why do we have to return to the menu to jump to the next race?
Conclusion: Joe Danger SE ist ein actionreiches Jump'n'Run Abenteuer auf einem Motorrad.
Summary: Joe Danger: Special Edition è un gioco assolutamente divertente e assuefante.
