Jeremy McGrath Offroad – Review (Xbox 360/PS3)
7 September 2013
Excerpt: Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad is the latest entry into the long line of Jeremy McGrath sponsored video games from back at the start of the millenium. Instead of dishing out the dirt on his famous Supercross race bikes, this time around we’re reving up our engines with 4 wheel trucks of frenzy. This game is currently available on the Xbox Marketplace for 800 MSP and from the PSN for $9.99 (It is currently not available to European PSN users).
Summary: " Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad " is a real mixed bag. It has some fun moments to be had but the overall lack of content and inconsistent game modes mean that this is one that proves hard to recommend.
Conclusion: Unfortunately, this game is difficult to recommend to racing fans out there. While there was plenty of potential with lots of choices for different racing styles, there were too many mechanics that got in the way of just enjoying this game. With a number of superior racing titles on the market, there are more attractive options out there. With a little more time, this could have impressed even the most hardcore racing fans, but unfortunately, it ultimately falls short.
Summary: With unspectacular graphics and only six courses, Jeremy McGrath's Offroad is hard to recommend. Ultimately the solid gameplay can't overcome a short campaign mode and uninspired events. Worse yet, this is one of the easiest racing games ever developed. Jeremy McGrath's Offroad is a low-energy take on one of the most world's exciting sports! Excerpt: Car nuts love to tinker around under the hood, but sometimes even dedicated mechanics just want to hop in and drive. Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad can’t hold a candle to full-featured (and full-priced) four-wheeling champions like Dirt , but its no-frills arcade simplicity still has a certain charm.
Pros: + Pick-up-and-play arcade handling; crisply rendered environments; good value., + Simple vehicle-upgrade system that carries over into hectic online races.
Cons: Seulement sept circuits, Contenu trop maigre, Relativement court et trop facile
