Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 the Videogame Review

VideoGamer.com
26 September 2011
  • Excerpt: I'm sure someone thought a Potter-themed Gears of War clone sounded great at some point. Given the critical panning previous games in the EA movie-license series have suffered, there was definitely a good reason to change things up.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Xbox 360 Review

Console Obsession
2 September 2011
  • Excerpt: It’s a shame that EA couldn’t of held off and combined the final two films of the Harry Potter series into a single game, as creating two games was hardly the best option to go with.

  • Excerpt: Even with generic gameplay, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 does a great job at replicating the Harry Potter universe. Still, a four-hour campaign is inexcusable, even by movie adaptation standards. To recommend a purchase would be outright ludicrous.
  • Pros: Atmosphere, set piece moments are incredible; music is superb
  • Cons: Gameplay is too generic, story feels rushed

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 Review

Xbox 360 achievements
25 July 2011
  • Conclusion: A stripped down version of the last game, which wasn’t that hot either, and removing the pointless XP system and terrible Kinect experience just makes Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 even more bare bones.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2

uk.gamespot.com
12 July 2011
  • Conclusion: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is over in three and a half hours or so, which is a mercifully short playing time for a game that sells at a too-high $50 price. You can replay story missions on their own or as timed challenges that might earn you a place on the game's online...
  • Pros: Ability to switch between spells lends variety to later levels.
  • Cons: Conceptually ridiculous, Exceptionally tedious, Incredibly short, with little replay value, Fails to capture the tension and excitement of the novels.

Game Informer

  • Conclusion: Concept: Put the movie-based Harry Potter games out of their misery Graphics: The highest praise I can muster is that the characters sort of look like their real-life counterparts Sound: Familiar music and voices, but nothing outstanding Playability: While it plays better than the last entry, that...
