Summary: I ended up purchasing two of these. The first one broke after a few months and so I purchased another one, which promptly broke after a few months (to be fair, I know that I purchased one from Amazon, but may have purchased the other from a traditional store).
Summary: Halo has reached the end with this game. If they wanted to do another game about the master chief then I would listen but I am otherwise done with all these side stories with less than full characters. Thanks for the ride bungie.
Pros: Nice additions with shield and jet packs
Cons: same game play and the maps for xbox online leave a lot to be desired. Why o'why can't they give us all the old maps also? The new ones are probably some of the weakest in the halo journey. The single player campaign mode is good. Legendary is turned way to high; very difficult to finish but hey ...
Summary: Let me get what I like about this game out of the way first. As a person whose first time playing halo, I really liked how it automatically recorded your gameplay and made a movie out of it. I even enjoyed watching this and wish more games did stuff like this.
Summary: I loved Halo 1, 2, and 3. I liked the ODST campaign but we all know it wasn't worth 60 dollars. With Reach they are truly milking the Halo franchise yet again, but this time they are not even doing it creatively, stealing multiple features from Modern Warfare such as leveling (with upgrades as you...
Pros: - Firefight co-op is pretty fun if you can get past the bad weapon design.
Cons: - It butchers the Halo "First Strike" book. - Many Multiplayer features stolen right from the Modern Warfare series. - Weapon design took a step backwards. - If you can look past the Modern Warfare ripoffs, this game feels just like Halo 3 and ODST, they aren't even much different.
Summary: (Deep Voice) In a world 500 years in to the future, one man has the technology to fight the covenant, he has been equipped with -- dun dun DUN --- A machine gun and an ATV. Oh yeah and 2 grenades.
Pros: Nice graphics, easy to understand controls
Cons: I really do not get why people think this game is good, the guns are extremely weak, I have gone through the entire campaign and it just consists of cinematic waste and mobs made up of the same ~10 aliens all the way through. The only time where you actually run in to anything cool (the scarabs) ...
Summary: Just thought I would say this to people possibly looking at buying this
game. On the new 360 slim 4gb console you cannot play co op multi player. Other then that its a good game but its not great. You may want to hire
before you buy this one. Or what for a fix on that issue regarding multi
Excerpt: All halo fans will know that halo reach is coming in september 2010. For anybody who has played the beta that came with halo: ODST will have experienced the multiplayer on reach. Even tho the beta did not have all the features (maps, gameplay styles ect.) it was still a heavily varied multiplayer.
Pros: Recon helmet with preorder, Wide variety of online gameplay, New Campaign
Excerpt: Halo: Reach is to be the latest and last game made by Bungie Studio's in this franchise. Since the game is currently still in development and not actually due out untill September, all i can really review is the Beta that i have played.
Pros: New Search Functions, Online Friends lists, Multiple Gametypes
Cons: Learning Curve, Limited Single Player Campaign
