A good campaign game with still some room for improvement.

Summary: I only play the campaign mode. I liked the change they made to beat down button, except the fact it does less damage than in the other Halo games, like I couldn't mount a wraith and throw a beat down on it and take it over. I did like the extra power the assault rife has. I have never liked driving the warthog and changes could be made there. I also think the cat walks sould have railings. I don't know how many times I fell of a cat walk while fight off an attack.
Summary: Great product, I would sadly scratch my disk on accident 5 days after purchase and they offered no assistance. Got a new one on the way from a different source. It is like a mix of one and 4 with the pistols being key, and the game play being Microsoft. I still want to get a bungie Halo 2 game back, the rankings suck on this halo game as they are only badges, I like the numbers and I am sure many of you are the same.
Summary: I liked Halo before but after this I love it. I started out in Halo 3 and 4 not having played the older games. I happened to see this gem in a bundle with Halo Reach at my local game store and it was only $30 so I figured why not, it might amuse me too. Then I started playing the campaign while my internet was down. This game totally explains why Halo is such a force in gaming. Both the original more grainy graphics and the superb remastered ones were awesome.
One of the best FPS games ever made and the first Halo game has by far the best single player campaign in the series.

Summary: The original Halo has the best single player campaign of the Halo series by far. It's big open battlefields were so fun to battle on,I remember running on top of hills and sniping enemies below and sometimes they would try to sneak up behind me and it was exciting.I remember using structures on the battlefields as cover when alien drop ships shot down at me from above.I also liked using the variety of vehicles(including human an alien vehicles)and using turrets placed...
Summary: Usually I don't get excited for remakes. This one, in fact, I ordered simply so I could run the original Halo on a 360 without emulation. I honestly wasn't expecting a lot--but I sure got it! The campaign is, simply put, awesome. It looks SO much better than the original, but at the same time it plays just the same. This isn't just some half-baked 'slap some new paint on it' project--it feels like a brand new game.
Summary: Remakes are risky business. When a developer is handling a remake of an already adored game they walk a fine line. Keeping too close to the original title can seem like a lazy revamping while deviating too far from the classic formula will cause fans to cry foul. Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary thankfully strikes a nice balance in between these two extremes.
Great graphics. Cool to go back and fore from both versions.

Summary: I bought this game looking for the upgraded graphics from the original game. As expected still an awesome game. Enhanced graphics are a joy. I forgot how much I enjoyed this game when it first came out. it is nice that you can go back and fore from both version in one disc.
