The Orange Box (PS3)

GamePro.com
9 January 2008
  • Excerpt: The Orange Box is as close to a must buy title as it gets for PS3 owners. It features five incredible games that are worth buying individually; heck, for Team Fortress 2 alone, I'd thrown in my first-born as well.
  • Pros: Five incredible games in one awesome package. There are dedicated servers for TF2.

The Orange Box

Thunderbolt Games
5 November 2007
  • Excerpt: Isn’t it a wonderful time to be a first-person shooter fan? With Halo 3, Crysis, and Call of Duty 4 being released in such rapid succession, it’s almost too much. Gamers on a budget will certainly be feeling the pain, but thankfully, The Orange Box is here to make the choice oh-so-easy. For the same price of any one of those games, The Orange Box packs five- yes, five- games onto one disc.

Half Life 2: The Orange Box

Console Monster
14 March 2008
  • Summary: Heralded as the best deal in video game history, The Orange Box has been one game I personally have been waiting for. Containing not one, not two, but five games—five absolutely fantastic games, two of which are previous PC releases, but the other three are new to any format. The five games are all bundled onto one disc for the price of an ordinary Xbox 360 game. A good deal? It sure is. But let's take a look at what is in this lovely Orange Box.
  • Pros: 5 games for the price of one, All 5 are great, Brilliant for new 360 owners
  • Cons: Episode 1 is sort of the weak link, Team Fortress 2 is a bit laggy, Portal is too short
