In this second installment of the Xbox 360 game, half-life 2 lets players once again assume the identity of the scientist Gordon Freeman, who is chosen to be Earth’s savior from alien invaders. Created by Valve, Half-life 2 offers a world that is fully realized. In it, objects as well as characters take on features and properties so realistic it seems real. The superior physics system lets everything in the Half-life world behave with appropriate simulation of mass, weight and even density.

The characters, on the other hand, appear to possess computer AI that is supremely intelligent. The result is that in this game, you will encounter enemies capable of planning, adaptation and realistic responses to your actions. The game also offers a console version that is truly next-generation. Packed with opportunities to earn bonuses, the new version expands the genre of the original version of the game Half-life. It even features two additional levels available, namely: a game of ultra-challenging puzzles called Portal and the internet runaway phenomenon, Team Fortress 2.

Review Summary

Half Life 2: The Orange Box includes Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, and Portal. They are all incredibly different games but with the same graphics. Episode Two is a continuation of the Half-Life 2 story, with lots of action. The Orange Box depicts the story of a woman who wakes up in a tiny box inside some lab facility run by a mysterious company called Aperture Science. You have a portal that enables you to walk out of one room into another. You will be introduced to portals and gun which you will use to fire portals onto walls, ceilings, and floors. The fire buttons are used to create blue and orange portals. The female voice dialogue may direct or misdirect you, so before doing anything you have to think well. Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer shooter in which the red team deals with the blue team. There are six maps in the game, each with its own focus. These are six tough puzzles from the main game, challenges and time limit to complete the level, the number of portals to use, or the number of steps to take. The advanced puzzles are hard bur not unsolvable. Bronze, silver, and gold medals are awarded for each of the three challenge types across six levels. Reviewers finds The Orange Box to be a great package which guarantees satisfaction as there’ll surely be at least one thing gamers will like in this collection, if not all of it.
