The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai does Achievements a bit differently than most games. The scoring has been massaged to match some of the objectives. So, you’ll get the odd number of 13 GS Points to impale—you guessed it—13 foes. Ska also gives a shout out to the band And You Will Know Us by the Trail of the Dead in one Achievement name and pokes fun at former Xbox leader Peter Moore in another.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: The look and feel of GH3 is a mixed bag. The gameplay segments are sharper than ever, with the character models improved, but also doing a better job of looking like they’re involved in the particular song you’re playing (right down to the singer’s lip synching). However, the cutscenes between those segments are made to be more cartoony, with all dialogue replaced by gibberish or something akin to what The Sims speak.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

The Gamers Temple
8 September 2008
  • Excerpt: As I started this review, I realized that stepping back and attempting to give an objective rating to Guitar Hero III would be difficult. I’ve been a Guitar Hero fan since the first game hit the PS2. I’ve played Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero: Rocks The 80’s and every single song available for download from Xbox Live. I even went so far as to purchase guitar stands for my three controllers.

Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock

impulsegamer

  • Excerpt: Although Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock has been out in Australia for awhile now, Impulse Gamer somehow missed this review and thanks to Activision, we can now can now share our verdict on this brilliant edition to the franchise. For those unaware of the Guitar Hero franchise, it basically allows gamers to play a variety of real-world songs with an almost life-size guitar that contains 5 coloured buttons, a strum button and a fender.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Strategy Informer
10 April 2008
  • Conclusion: Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock is the quintessential Guitar Hero game. It has everything the previous games had tweaked to peak performance, but it also carries the visuals of its PS2 brother and has a slightly weaker track list. However, the added battle mode, online play, and serious difficulty setting will do nothing but keep the hardcore fans rockin’ for days to come.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock review (X360)

HonestGamers
28 November 2007
  • Excerpt: Guitar Hero III is the best game in the series by far, and a great game in its own right. Prior experience with the series isn’t necessary because anyone can pick the game up and have fun. The range and quality of music helps in making it accessible to everyone, and this will be reinforced with the post-release stream of downloadable content.
