See lessGTA IV is the kind of title every gamer must have in their collection to justify their title as said gamer. It's near perfection in all areas, and in all honesty, I won't be reaching for my copy of GTA III anymore whenever I need my fix. Not that the others in between weren't great too, but this is the sequel we've all been waiting for. This is also the first 10.0 we've ever handed out to a game. It's one of those games that demonstrate milestone achievement in the video... Read more
A whole lot can happen in a Liberty City minute (which is much longer than the little known New York minute). As I stroll down the road in my Macana, looking for a better ride and maybe some isolated guy I can deprive of his money, a police car rolls alongside me and parks abruptly as cops go after a hooded figure. T... Read more
Grand Theft Auto IV is better in every way possible. The more lifelike direction that the team went in takes a little getting used to, especially when it comes to getting behind the wheel, but once you get over the learning curve, you’re handed an amazing experience and hands down the best work Rockstar North has ever put out. In previous games it felt like you were playing with action figures in this open world—it was fun, but it didn’t feel real. In Grand Theft... Read more
As our alter ego Niko Bellic sails across the Atlantic towards the unknown promised land of America, you can’t help but draw parallels with Rockstar’s own journey. Having conquered the last generation of consoles, they now face an uncertain transition to the Xbox 360 and PS3, where the pressure to exceed the already high standards is enormous. With such a burden, this is perhaps the most important game in the series since Grand Theft Auto III . With that in mind,... Read more
Overall, Grand Theft Auto IV is one of the best games ever made, with a single-player campaign that can take you around 25 hours to complete (depending on how you play it, of course). Improvements, particularly those made to combat and vehicle physics, make the game more accessible, more enjoyable and far more realistic than before. There's enough here to lure even the most demanding gamer. The standard choice of weapons is present during the single-player game, along... Read more
Highly disappointed with this game to be honest, expected so much more than what the game had to offer, this probably down to the by hype. i do like the multiplayer features it has been done really well but on the other hand the storyline isn't so great at all and is highly repetitive. Read more
I think GTA Vice City was the best of all. This game is good and long, with a lot of sub-games built in. I had a disk read error after playing for a week, I called xbox, they told me to return the game, which JR did quickly, then with the new game my xbox360 finally died (3-red lights). I sent it in and got a new xbox and now GTA IV works perfectly. Read more
Have plenty of batteries for your controller. Time will fly & you will find it hard to put this game down. Sometimes just driving down the sidewalk in a Hummer at full speed is fun w/o even playing the game. Check out the realistic sounds when smacking into the people-like dead fish (thud, w/ the gutteral sounds emmitted from the victims & Nico's funny comments ("Get outta the way!" or "Only in this county do they let blind people drive" or "I'm glad this is not my... Grand theft auto 4 is a stunning technical and artistic achievement. Dont let any bad reviews fool you. Almost everything, from the character animations to the clutter on the streets, will amaze you. The city is completely open and allows you to explore the whole thing with boats, cars, bikes, and even helicopters. The story is fairly long and remains exciting throughout the game. 9 out of 10 from me. Not perfect but close. Read more or see product
