Summary: Wasn't impressed with this game it really isnt all that good. It has some glitches like when you have to push this car sometimes it locks up and wont move and all you can do is restart the checkpoint I read online and others had this problem as well. The game is kinda short and the fight with the final boss is so stupid however it was interesting enough to keep me playing until the end which only took two days. If I could do it all over I would not buy this game.
Summary: This is one poor attempt at making a video game & will probably go straight into the bargain bins The story hinges on disrespecting authority. Angst dictates character behavior. Aggression and agility uproot the fundamentals of combat design. Most significantly, Gears of War: Judgment is rebellious. Both the campaign and multiplayer reject what previously worked for the series in favor of bold new ideas. The numerous risks pay dividends.
Summary: You walk around, you shoot things. This game brings in the "new" concept of hiding behind cover, but apart from that it is exactly the same as every single other FPS ever made. Very disappointing after all the hype about how this is such a fresh and innovative game, and I'm glad I borrowed it from a friend rather than actually paying money in a shop.
Summary: I listened to all the hype about this game and was extremely disapointed. The graphics are ok but the majority of the game is in darkness so you lose any detail, there is hardly any story and the game play is just boring, no interesting weapons or even flexibility in gameplay.
Summary: What's all the fuss about with this game? As far as I'm concerned it's tedious and repetitive. The environment is dull and there's little motivation generated to progess any further into it. You spend most of your time ducking in and out of cover. It's too easy to get killed and when there's a lot going on on screen hardly any way to distinguish between friend and foe.
Summary: Quite an enjoyable shooter experience, although depressingly dark. The
characters look quite unrealistic. The graphics are good and the voice acting is
great quality. The gore is awesome looking, and the sound effects are cool! The
controls are easy enough to learn. The story is not all that great. The
characters are well done. The environments can get quite dark and boring most of
the time. It is very fun on co-op which makes this game stand out.
Summary: Ill admit, its fun at first, but thats only because of the thrill of a new
game, but trust me, when all you do is duck behind cover, shoot, duck, shoot,
duck, shoot and then occasionally shoot without ducking (for the truly
adventurous) you get a bit bored. Its extremely repetitive, i didnt even bother finishing it.
The elusive “chainsaw gun” that is so famous with GOW isnt that much fun
Summary: I'm confused, I don't own a 360 (waiting for Halo 3) but your review states that Gears of War is 'the only true must-own title on the console to date'.....so what about Callof Duty 2 & 3, Ghost Recon: Advanced WarFighter, Oblivion and Splinter Cell: Double Agent? all these games recieved 5 stars from yourselves....so is a 5 star game not a must own title? Is the word 'Classic' just for show? Or is Luke Albiges talking out of his arse? ...
