Summary: I bought this when it came out and played the first Chapter and put it aside. I decided to pick it back up over the holiday break and I am glad I did. I have read the books as they were released and I watch the HBO show. I am 50 and have been playing games for over 20 years years and mostly play RPG's. Once I got used to the mechanics (and also swallowed my pride and moved down to easy) I was able to get into the game.
Summary: Although the combat can be very tedious at first, once you get a hang of it it actually becomes fun. It reminds me in a way of Mass Effect, the way you can bring up the power wheel, select enemies, and use special abilities. The story is also very interesting in that every other level you alternate the character that you play as. Eg. Lvl 1: Mors, lvl 2: Alester, lvl 3: Mors, lvl 4: Alester... Etc.
Summary: I was pleasantly surprised how much I really liked this game after reading all the negative reviews. For me, I simply loved this game and didn't want it to end. If you're a fan of the Game of Thrones T.V. series and like true RPG, storyline games, then give this game a chance, it's definately worth the low price of $15. I really enjoyed playing 2 main characters, in which they rotated per chapter. Eventually, you play both main characters as a team.
