Summary: My G.I. Joe collection includes a handful of losers--figures that I bought for a specific weapon, or who came free with a vehicle. Even the lamest of these cast-off chumps (like Tollbooth and Skidmark) are less of an insult to G.I. Joe's good name than this vaguely game-like disaster.
Even Worse than What You've Come to Expect from Licensed Games

Conclusion: Concept: Massacre the G.I. Joe license with a crap movie ?tie-in ?game
Graphics: PSone quality rendered cutscenes look atrocious ?on ?HDTVs
Sound: A constant barrage of generic gunfire ?and ?explosions
Playability: I'd rather have a dental appointment than play ?this ?game
Entertainment: A terrible aiming mechanic, uncooperative camera, and the worst vehicle controls in years make this ?almost ?
Excerpt: After seeing the G.I. Joe movie a few weeks ago, I was super excited to play the games based on the stupid, yet extremely exciting and fun film. Before I made it to the Nintendo DS version, I reviewed this game's big brother, also called G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, for the Xbox 360 and PS3 . At first, the game felt a lot like a semi-3D throwback to older shooters like Contra and I was all about it.
Excerpt: ) surface of GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra – a clear license cash-in – beats the heart of a half-way decent, at times kinda fun arcadey third-person shooter, and it would have been a good, solid title, especially if offered as a digital download via the PlayStation Network (PSN) or Xbox LIVE Arcade (XBLA), if it weren’t for the game’s many and varied problems getting in the way and ruining it.
Review: GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)

Conclusion: So unless you are an immense GI Joe supporter, we would recommend staying away from the game. There is hardly anything worth writing home about. The most enjoyable part of the game would have to be the unlockable Public Service Announcements from the old cartoon show. But chances are, you could save the cash and look them up online. And, trust us, you would be very well served by saving that cash.
Conclusion: Seriously this game is not worth the cost, I don’t even think this game is worth buying if it was in the bargin bin. G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra is one of the most horrible games I’ve ever played, it is not worth your money, do not buy it, ever. Electronic Arts should be ashamed that they even decided to publish this piece of trash. Pretty much every aspect of the game is bad, from the graphics to the gameplay and even to the special bonuses. If you’re a G.I.
Pros: Lots of unlockables including PSAs, Easy achievements
Cons: Repetitious, Basically the same vehicles just re-skinned, Boring, Annoying at times, Camera is horrible, They talk way to much, Controls are not very good, Graphics just feel old, Long load times, Characters are nothing like the originals, Cut scenes interfere with game play
Summary: Is it just me or do developers or movie directors think that when a movie is coming out, it needs to be accompanied by a game to help with its release? Practically every movie released these days has a game chucked in to try and produce some sort of wow factor about the movie. I don't mind when movie-game tie-ins work when the developers put a lot of effort into a game, but when it becomes blatant that the sole purpose of the game is to try and get more money out of the...
Pros: Easy to pick up and play, It does have a co-op feature, Highscores are back
Cons: Very Repetitive, No Xbox LIVE access, Should have been an arcade game
Summary: Ich drücke G.I.
