Frontlines: Fuel of War Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: Those that get it will play Frontlines: Fuel of War until the disc wears out. Those that miss the point will have this one back at EB Games the next day– happy to accept the $40 depreciation of their purchase. But even with such strong, complex multiplayer support, we can’t give Frontlines: Fuel of War a complete nod without a single player experience somehow equaling modern, fifty man mayhem via Live.

The Saboteur Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: Finally, there are the technical problems. There is a distinct lack of polish that has marked previous Pandemic titles. There were frequent occasions during my playthrough that it felt as if the game’s engine could barely hold the world together. Guards stood lookout atop phantom towers that I had destroyed hours before. Music often awkwardly looped in jarring ways.

Frontlines: Fuel of War

gamerlimit.com
6 April 2009
  • Excerpt: Apocalyptic story-lines in games are quite popular these days, and Frontlines: Fuel of War is no different. The world is either going to be hit by a nuclear bomb, run out of food, be ravaged by incurable disease, or in the case of Frontline: run out of gas. Through the gaming lull there is a huge back catalog of first-person shooters available for the Xbox 360 at bargain prices. Frontlines is one of those games.

Frontlines: Fuel of War (Xbox 360)

  • Excerpt: Frontlines: Fuel of War was not a game I was excited to play, but I picked it up because it was $5 at my local GameStop. It seemed too much like Battlefield and looked too much like every other modern shooter, but I was surprised at how much fun I had with this title. Granted it’s not perfect, the online is dead, the game is mostly brown war torn areas, and I don’t even remember the story; but the game play kept me entertained from beginning to end.

Expert Review

Inside Hotwire 3D
19 October 2008
  • Conclusion: In the audio department, Frontlines did an amazing job of bringing what could easily have been a World War III scenario. You’ll hear explosions coming in different sides as though you are closing in on enemy barracks. As you get deeper into the heart of your campaigns, bombs and machine guns become ever so lively! You don’t have time to blink anymore, you just run on instinct.

Frontlines: Fuel of War (Xbox 360) Review

411mania.com
4 August 2008
  • Summary: Kaos studios have forced their way into the military FPS with Frontlines. Great gameplay, awesome graphics and acceptable sound work has mad Frontlines one of the must rent games of the year. I say must rent as the game is relatively short. It is a must buy if online play is your thing. I am already waiting for the sequel and there are very few games that leave me desiring a sequel. In the end my final recommendation for this game is go get it.
