Football Manager 2006 (Xbox 360): FM2006

  • Summary: Released in April 2006 this was a much anticipated game for me. I'm a big fan of the management simulation games and this has to be one of the best ive played by far. It's pretty much exactly the same as all football management games except for the intense detail which the game goes into about statistics of players etc. I found that it was a much more entertaining game because of this and gets better as you play it.
  • Pros: Lots and lots of info!
  • Cons: No decent match view.

Good same old stuff

  • Conclusion: I know this is a pretty old game now but after seeing it for as little as £4 pre-owned and having not played a footy management game in a while(since Champ Man 4) I decided to pick it up.

Game of two halves and loads of menus

  • Summary: If you would rather be Jose than Beckham or Sir Alex rather than Rooney then Foor=tball Manager 2006 is the game for you. In this football strategy game you are the man in charge, whether you choose a sheepskin coat or the unshaven look, neither is an option for me, then you get to control and lead your team through a league season.
  • Pros: Very addictive
  • Cons: Controls could be better

Good game, nearly great

  • Summary: Once you get used to the gameplay differences between this and past champ man games and the dodgy control method the 360 employs, you realise what a good game this is. Ultimately it's more realistic and therefore harder and more rewarding, though some of the new "improvements" seem pointless and I indeed play the game without using the team talk and media functions as they don't seem to have a constant effect.

Great Addition

John Thompson, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: I have played CM & FM for the last 6 years. After being frustrated by how slow the PC vesions can be, I decided to purchase this version for my XBox 360. I have to say, I have not been disapointed. This is a great version of the game. Load times are fantastic, compared to the PC. It is truly a pleasure to sit in the comfort of your own satee and enjoy, at your leisure, The Greatest Football Managment Sim ever created. I highly recommend this!!! P.S.
