A game of many menus

sympatic, Ciao
12 January 2013
  • Excerpt: If you would rather be Jose than Beckham or Sir Alex rather than Rooney then Foortball Manager 2006 is the game for you even if it is now a bit dated in terms of the structure of the teams as few managers are still in post in 2013 than appear in this game, Chelsea alone have probably had ten changes...
  • Pros: Could be addictive
  • Cons: Menu set out is too complicated .

Lots of fun.

  • Excerpt: Released in April 2006 this was a much anticipated game for me. I'm a big fan of the management simulation games and this has to be one of the best ive played by far. It's pretty much exactly the same as all football management games except for the intense detail which the game goes into about...

  • Excerpt: If you would rather be Jose than Beckham or Sir Alex rather than Rooney then Foor=tball Manager 2006 is the game for you. In this football strategy game you are the man in charge, whether you choose a sheepskin coat or the unshaven look, neither is an option for me, then you get to control and lead...

3 words for you.....mouse, mouse and mouse!

  • Summary: Maybe its because im so use to the PC version but using the xbox controller to play this game is more frustrating than a team scoring with there only shot on goal and there (greyed-out) keeper getting a m.o.m.! Its fiddly and its so easy to get lost in the interface.

Good but not great

  • Summary: Let me start this review by saying if your television is not HD ready then do not attempt to watch the match on the 3D engine... truly looks awful... Also the menu interfaces and controls don't quite feel right. Also, last niggle is that only some of the recent Jan transfers have been updated, i.e.

Good game, nearly great

C. Morrissey, Amazon
24 March 2007
  • Summary: Once you get used to the gameplay differences between this and past champ man games and the dodgy control method the 360 employs, you realise what a good game this is. Ultimately it's more realistic and therefore harder and more rewarding, though some of the new "improvements" seem pointless and I...

Great Addition

  • Summary: I have played CM & FM for the last 6 years. After being frustrated by how slow the PC vesions can be, I decided to purchase this version for my XBox 360. I have to say, I have not been disapointed. This is a great version of the game. Load times are fantastic, compared to the PC.
