Summary: First the good parts: the graphics in game and cut scene are fantastic. The transition between the two is seamless. The characters, enemies, and environments are well animated. When you put all this together it's almost shiny and impressive enough to make you ignore all the issues.
Summary: I liked that there was an ending to lighting's story, but the actual plot isn't very good and doesn't flow very believably. The new battle system is cool, but the customization is more limited than I had anticipated and the battles don't hold much difficulty.
Summary: Wow as a long time Final Fantasy player I was told over and over that this was going to be a let down.... And those people where right. With so little exploration, the lack of shops, and the fact that you control 1 of your party members this is possibly the worst Final Fantasy i have played.
Think of the "worst" FF you have ever played on console. This is worse.

Summary: I bought FF1 used, and have literally played every Final Fantasy game that has come out on console, as well as some of the better remakes that have came out on different systems. So I've sometimes played the entire games twice or more than once on different systems.
Summary: The battle system is poor, the characters are grating, the story makes no sense, the pacing is all over the place, and it's just one corridor after another for 30+ hours. SE needs to just build off of what they started with FFXII and hope people forgive them enough to come back to the series.
