Summary: If you are looking for a Final Fantasy game or RPG, avoid this! This is more like a 3d side-scrolling arcade game, gutted of almost all RPG features. Battles are basically button mashing with timers and cooldowns, the characters are boring/irritating/cliche and forced down your throat most the game, the story is lackluster and you'll have more flashbacks of past pointless happenings than an episode of Lost, there isn't ANYWHERE to explore or people to talk to, you don't...
Summary: This game is so broken. You can put the battle system on auto, the game is linear, the story is terrible, leveling up isn't fun at all, and the replay value isn't fun. The game barely resemble's anything for it to have the title of "Final Fantasy." This isn't a "Fantasy," this is a nightmare! Yeah, let's call it "Final Nightmare XIII" That would be a better title. You can play any Final Fantasy title (except for Final Fantasy 11, 12, and 14) and you will love it!
Summary: I'd heard a bunch of reviews about this game, but since I'd been playing Final Fantasy since I was a kid, I couldn't turn down the chance to try it out, though I was hesitant. The graphics blew me away, and I had high hopes. However, I am not pleased with the way it was set up. It feels like for every five minutes of game play, another ten minutes of video scenes follow.
Summary: First of let me start by saying this is one of the best looking games out today but unfortunately that's all it has going for it. I mean what good is it to look so good yet be constricted to a straight line for the most part of the game. That's not the only thing wrong with FFXIII though for example the games battle system is very simple even without the auto battle feature, controlling one party member while the other two automatically do what there paradigm thing is...
Summary: Only devout Final Fantasy fans would play this. It was the only reason I dumped 55 hours in to this game only to be completely dissatisfied with the ending and story overall as a whole. I kept thinking it would get better, but it really didn't. I'm rather surprised it is actually being made in to a series. The plot is hard to follow, even for gamers religious to the series.
Summary: This game really isn't that exciting. The graphics are moderate, the gameplay is quite boring, and the plot isn't really that exciting. This game isn't worth $30. I would say it's worth about $5-$10.
Summary: Alright if we can't agree on anything else about this game we can agree on the fact that this game does has some really nice graphics. But, sadly that is where it will probably end. I had friends on both sides of this game more on one side than another so i decided to get this game. When i started to play it, the gameplay was fine at first besides the key factor that the battle system was awful. a combination of turn based & free motion battle sytem is stupid.
