Summary: I see a lot of reviews that go on and on about how great this game is, and quite frankly it isn't. You're constantly racing against a clock, and if you're not going in the direction the game wants you to it throws enemies in your path about every 10 feet. Having to stop and fight the enemies constantly is beyond annoying.
Summary: Even better than the others, I like the different direction they went with the combat. I am not a fan of time constraints in JRPG's when they affect over all enjoyment of the story, but it ended up working out well since loses don't really matter.
Summary: After playing the first 2 games from the final fantasy 13 series, I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed the modular experience of lightning returns. the battle system took a bit of adjusting to get used to, and its the first time I've been frustrated by a game in a while. XIII-2 had a great soundtrack, story, but I felt the gameplay was lack luster, being that I finished it quickly (100%) and thought I could mash buttons to get through anything.
An excellent game to the conclusion of Lightning and her story

Summary: I started playing the FFXIII series back in 2010 midnight release so I am no stranger to this series. Overall I've enjoyed this trilogy, the story arch, and characters. Lightning is without a doubt one of my favorite game characters so when I first saw Lightning Returns I knew it would be at least decent. Those who are familiar with this series know that the FFXIII trilogy has undergone many changes with the gameplay aspects throughout all 3 games.
