FIFA 07

The Gamers Temple
29 April 2007
  • Excerpt: FIFA 07 is huge. It’s hard to imagine another sports game out there that comes packed with over 500 licensed teams – and no, that’s not a typo. The game also features nearly thirty leagues from around the world, so if you’re a displaced soccer, I mean football, fan then odds are you’ll find your favorite league represented in the game. Think of how long it would take you to lead a team through a season in each of the leagues – that’s a lot of gameplay there.

  • Excerpt: Even the biggest critics of the FIFA series would have to admit that this year’s version of FIFA 07 on the PC and PlayStation did a lot of things right. The game felt better than any FIFA title in recent years and it genuinely provided an engaging experience. Of course it wasn’t perfect but it was well worth the asking price and left many fans of the series very happy indeed.

  • Excerpt: Electronic Arts brings yet another gorgeous game with the release of FIFA 07 Soccer, a shining gem if you're all about the multiplayer. It's not all good, however. Always a bit of bad sneaks into each new FIFA iteration, it seems, and 07 is no exception.

Game Over Online
9 November 2006
  • Excerpt: About a month ago, EA released its current-gen iteration of the FIFA series, with FIFA 07 on the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Gamecube. If you read my review of that game, you already know that I was very pleased with it. It kept the same great FIFA gameplay while taking significant steps forward in physics, animations, and visuals. EA really pushed the limits of the current-gen machine. A month later, EA is having a go at next-gen 07.

FIFA 07

Console Monster
13 April 2007
  • Summary: EA have managed to now bring out their third football title on the Xbox 360. Yes that’s the third for EA and Konami have only just managed to release their first game for crying out loud. EA’s first step into the next-generation was horrid with slimy players and terrible gameplay made it the worst FIFA in years, the World Cup version didn’t really improve on the first either, but we now come to the third supposedly ‘next-gen’ footy title.
  • Pros: Great Gameplay, Fully licenced, Realistic
  • Cons: Cardboard cut-out crowd, Commentry gets repetitive, Not an interesting soundtrack
