27 August 2006
Conclusion: The players also move like robots. 6/10 Sound Commentry is good but sometimes gets very repitive after a while the atmosphere is quite good but not that atmosphric compared to pes. 5/10 Diffuculty Not very difficult at all and you can tell this by looking at the achivments they are time consuming but not the hardest.
Excerpt: Microsoft should be thankful that EA are supporting their new console (when Sega released the Dreamcast ahead of the PlayStation 2, EA were having none of it), simply because EA games sell, but when they churn out uninspired games such as FIFA 06 Road to FIFA World Cup, you wonder where their true efforts are going.
Excerpt: When it arrived in stores last month, the Xbox version of FIFA 06 was undoubtedly EA Sports' best soccer game to date. Now, less than two months later, FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup has been released for the Xbox 360, and the Xbox version of FIFA 06 is still EA Sports' best soccer game to date. How can that be the case? At the very least, FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup must be the same game that was released for the Xbox but with better graphics, right? Wrong.
Pros: Recognizable players, Authentic uniforms and stadiums, Decent commentary
Cons: No club teams and only 72 international teams, Crowd looks like it was attacked by a Photoshop filter, Lacks many of the features found in the other console versions, Outdated online lobby system
Conclusion: A perfectly fine football game, with gleaming presentation and a decent amount of gameplay. Youll need to go back one generation of Xbox to find videogamings finest football title, though. And, ironically, to find the better version of FIFA.
Summary: Dear Capcom, After visiting my nearest games retailer I noticed that you had just released a copy of "Dead Rising" and purchased said game with all speed. Upon getting home and sitting down I was shocked, appalled and horrified at what I saw on my TV screen. Not only are all of those pesky humans all ugly and wielding W.M.D's but all of my kind are shown as mindless shuffling pulse-dodgers who have nothing better to do than feast on the squishy innards of fleshy humans.
Pros: Great looking game, Plenty of Zombie bashing fun, Zombies are finally on the 360!
Cons: No Co-Op mode, Short single-player game, Few graphical glitches lurk
Summary: I want to start off my review by taking you all on a journey. A journey back in time to 1998. Remember that absolutely awesome Fifa title? Fifa Road to World Cup 98. How good was that game? It set the boundaries for all football titles. It combined the ultimate in realism, with amazing gameplay and an all round great idea. Of course, that was before Pro Evolution Soccer, or International Superstar Soccer as it was back then, picked up the pace and overtook EA. A...
Summary: n development for almost two years, EA’s first FIFA 360 game should be packed with features guaranteed to make PS2 and Xbox owners green with envy. In reality, this half-baked sim lacks the depth of recent editions launched on less powerful machines. Essentially, the only thing this version brings to the table is updated graphics and animation, which simply isn’t enough when you consider the power and potential of the 360.
Conclusion: Ich bin extrem enttäuscht von FIFA 06 Road to FIFA World Cup.
