Little has changed in the four years since Dead Rising came out, but that doesn't hamper this downloadable content too much. The unique, ticking-clock structure is different from that in any other open-world game, so anyone... Read more
Farcry 2 seems to be dividing people’s opinions right across the board from pole to pole, continent to continent and (just to make it sound like we’re keeping with US politics here) sea to shining sea. Read more
The game though is, at best, mediocre and occasionally plays like something that just wasn’t finished before it shipped. It does do a lot of stuff right so if you’re interested in giving the game a shot, you’ll do best... Read more
Despite some of its technical issues and repetitiveness, I feel compelled to play this game until I finish the entire single-player campaign. Read more

My experience with this game was exactly the same as my experience with Assassin's Creed. I went in expecting to love it, I was hugely impressed with the first three or four hours, and then I started to realize that 95% of... Read more

I was expecting awesomeness when I bought Far Cry 2.. I was partly impressed with the realism (gun jamming, fire spreading, self healing), but the rest was not so good. Read more
I was really impressed with the look of this game after the cracking ads on tv but I was enormously disappointed with the gameplay. As the earlier reviewer commented, the gameplay is chockfull of annoyances: The first weapon... Read more

Far Cry 2 was released as the official sequel to Far Cry even as the developers of the original game did not take part in its development. Far Cry 2 also features a different setting, a new style of gameplay, and a new set of characters. Apart from this, the original game features sci-fi characters that cannot be found in Far Cry 2.
The game can be played in both single player and multiplayer modes. It is set in a war-torn African state where two factions compete with each other for control over the state. These two factions include the United Front for Liberation & Labour and the Alliance for Popular Resistance. The players’ task in this mission-persistent game is to use all means necessary to find and assassinate an arms-dealer who has been known for dealing weapons to both factions.
When in multiplayer mode via LAN or internet, yup to 16 players can join a game of Far Cry 2. There are four multiplayer game modes available. These include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Diamond, and Uprising.
Far Cry 2 features the Dunia Game Engine which Ubisoft Montreal developed specifically for it. Because of this game engine, the game offers a variety of features including non-scripted enemy AI, real-time night-and-day cycle, dynamic fire propagation and storm effects, and a dynamic music system. It also features real-time storytelling, and systemic auto-healing. In addition, its players can choose from a wide variety of available weapons.
