Summary: First of all: I'm writing this review after fable froze back to back within 7 minutes including the time my xbox was off, as my third restart tonight is loading up. DO NOT BUY if you still have your original, if not, go ahead, just don't pay more than 20 dollars for it. What has changed: New menus, updated visuals, a few new sound effects, some NPCs are named. Pros: Mostly the same game you remember, music, combat, and environment wise.
Summary: This was the only video game my son asked for at Christmas. I went straight to Overstock on this one, because the newer games sell out quickly in the retail stores. You had it in stock, and it arrived well-packaged in plenty of time for Christmas. He was very happy to get it! I watched him playing it, beautiful graphics on this game, great detail. Thank you Overtock!
Summary: This one is definitely the best of all the Fables. Good storyline, much improved graphics, and the game designers insured you will play it again through a quite ingenious trick. You can play the game through the first time on the side of good, and then evil the second time. Or vise versa. A little heads up though. Any game sporting the Unreal Graphics Engine, download the entire game into your X-BOX 360's hard drive.
Summary: I love Fable. Since I've only played 2 and 3 and absolutely LOVE them and am a diehard fan now and is my number 1 game or definitely my top 3... I decided to buy the anniversary because Ive never played the first Fable. Its supposed to be "remastered" but the graphis are just horrible so I stopped playing. Waste of money. I decided to just replay the 3rd Fable to get my fix.
Summary: For anyone who played the Fable TLC, this was a major disappointment. It is darker, uglier, and the text, of which there is a large amount, has been made so small it is very hard to read, making it harder to play for long periods. You can no longer do any of the tricks to reverse aging, get extra keys, etc...
Summary: On one hand this is the much loved classic Fable TLC with pretty new graphics. On the other though you'll be hard pressed to find a more buggy game. It has graphical abnormalities, random freezes, stutters, CTD's and once even BSOD'd. I've tried setting it to CPU affinity 0 since apparently it doesn't like multi core CPUs. I've tried disabling Xfire since it doesn't like multiple GPUs. On one hand this is the much loved classic Fable TLC with pretty new graphics.
Summary: I played Fable when it first came out and loved it. Comparatively anniversary is identical aside from upgraded graphics. Those upgraded graphics make the humans/semi human characters look horrible. Another thing is the extremely slow loading times. It can take minutes in between some areas. Then there is also a downside to the upgraded graphics.
Summary: This was better than expected. The updated graphics, the integration of the lost chapters and the ability to use the controller in ways the later games allowed makes this game feel like you are playing it again for the first time. Bought this along with the Fable Anniversary Guide and with XBox Glass makes this quite the awesome gaming experience.
