Summary: I have been waiting for this game for a long time, only to find out that f1 2001 is better than this. The f1 2010 did not have engine failure and crashes while playing, you could not even see the crashes only on a replay. Yes the graphics are great, but that's about it. I sold this game after one full week of playing. I hope the next one will be better as far as playing.Save your cash and buy an f1 2001 xbox. I am still playing that one.
Summary: I rarely write a review after so little playing time, but in this instance am doing so due to feeling such disappointment over a game I've been waiting to play for such a long time. Immediately I was struck by the poor frame-rate, and some general graphical judder for example when cornering. Next, I was right away confused by the fact that driving aids appeared to be on even though I had turned them off.
Summary: I like bought this game with high expectations. It is ok. I really am glad I didn't pay the full price when it came out. The online play is terrible in terms of race options. Loading all the way to the main menu each time you want to rematch. It seems like the online play was an after thought. The graphics and sounds are pretty good. I got bored of this in a week and my xbox collection is nearly all racing games.
Stunning graphics and handling RUINED by pitstops.

Summary: Marvel at the beautiful graphics, the unbelievable weather effects and the engrossing sound - then tear your hair out as you sit in the pits and watch yourself plunge down the leaderboard as your lollypop man holds you up as car after car after car passes you. This game is RUINED by the poor pit stop programming. Any fan of F1 will tell you of the thrill of the pitstops and the way that teams release their cars into the path of rival teams cars with inches to spare!
Conclusion: I wanted a gripping F1 game and was left very disapointed. The gameplay has to be involving, dramatic and also have great playability and control.Unfortunately this game gives none of that and stopped playing the game after 20 mins. This game gives the look , but no feel.
Summary: I suppose some racing games are arcade racers and some are sims. My 2 favourute games are also from Codemasters - Grid and Dirt 2. Both these games, whilst not out and out simulators, do give some feeling of being in a real car on a real track - the feeling of sliding the car using the the throttle and feeling the back end of the car going light under braking. Those who have done a trackday or two might know what I'm wittering on about here.
Summary: very disappointing, stewards are very generous with 10 second penalties everytime you try to race aggressively,if you dont you lose anyway because other teams seem to make no mistakes and dont get punished for tagging you or knocking you off track. very limited ability to modify game abilty settings and loads too slowly. rent it first before you waste any money on it.
