Dead Space,1,2,and 3..Tomb Raider, The Orange Box, Far Cry Three, Bio shock Infinite, Dishonored and Alan Wake would give everyone a sure shot as they are all great games. There are others but this is a fantastic start......

Action RPG suprise

  • Summary: I'd heard a lot of good reviews about this game and when I found it on sale I couldn't resist. I am only sorry that I didn't buy it sooner. This game has an excellent story and great play value. The combat techniques are very interesting, easy to learn but take some time to master, which is great!

An Underappreciated Gem

Bwana, Amazon
16 January 2014
  • Summary: Enslaved is a beautiful, charming, fun game to play. It is a mystery how it managed to sell so far beneath its expectations. The exploration and fighting are solid, the graphics and sound are immersive and lush, and the characters are all brought to life with a deft hand not only in the animation, but an uncanny level of voice talent and solid writing.

  • Summary: I enjoyed this game quite a bit. It's relatively short, but it was fun. The story was decent and it has good gameplay. For the $10 I paid for it, it's well worth it.

  • Summary: The graphics are awesome in this game. The scenery and character models are both very well done. The game world is extremely colorful and beautiful. The sound is also incredible. I really like the epic soundtrack. The voice acting is extremely well done and made me really care about the characters.

Slow start, but if you can grind past it, you won't regret it.

  • Summary: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West surprised me. It was better than I expected and I keep seeing this game appear in forum discussions about underrated games. I feel that this game should be played more than it actually was, but I understand why most people turned away from this game. There are 14 chapters in the game, plus an epilogue that you can't actually play through, but you get 25G just for watching it.

Buy this gem of a game

Amazon Customer, Amazon
18 July 2013
  • Summary: This is probably the biggest surprise of all the games I've purchased recently. With an engaging story from start to finish, this was like watching and participating in an epic 20-hour movie. The game play is not too difficult (I played on Normal my first time through - there are Easy and Hard options as well), and is great fun -- from pounding robots in hack 'n slash fashion to surfing on your "Cloud" to scaling huge walls and structures, the whole game was a joy to...

This game was quite a surprise!

Axle F. "The Brutally Honest Critical Reviewer", Amazon

  • Summary: Bought this for the significant other based off reviews here on Amazon.com. Watched the entire playthrough and spent some time with it myself. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the controls, platforming, story, and gameplay were. This is one of those video game jems that most would just pass right by because it did not have the multi million dollar marketing that a lot of, lets face it, terrible games have in recent history. Bottom line: Get it!

It's all about the story

Marian Lea, Amazon
30 March 2013
  • Summary: The combat starts off as a "mash X to win!" sort of set up, but if you stop paying attention to all the other moves the game goes through, you'll find the combat gets very challenging ("mashing X, why am I no longer winning?"). Is the combat difficult once you get a hang of the tricks? Not at all. I haven't played it on hard, but still, no way this game will ever be Ninja Gaiden difficult. The climbing, while fun, is very linear; things you can climb up shimmer.

Push One Button; Be Awesome.

William Charles Arthur Cooksley, Amazon
16 February 2013
  • Summary: I appreciate games that allow you to be really cool simply by pressing X, etc (this is fairly typical of Ninja Theory games.) Not a overly challenging game, but very immersive. Really enjoyed how the cut scenes segued right back into the story; felt like one big adventure without a break in the narrative. It's a unique experience that isn't trying to be something else. Do it!
