Summary: so yeah when this game first came out it was pretty cool but now that there's so much better stuff out there, this game is just totally outdated. graphics are bad, the gameplay is seriously lacking and the online basically doesn't exist since there's no one to play with. spent like $6 on this game and it isn't even worth 1.
Summary: Having made the mistake of ignoring reviews I rented this, luckily I used enough common sense to do so (and not buy it). Quake Wars brings you into a lesser known Quake setting...your own planet. Strongly departed from the old Quake experience it at least draws upon some old familiarities. The games pc counterpart delivered the goods, this once feels like faulty packaging. The online has many hiccups, and hideously poor graphics, but one can get a good game going.
Summary: This game was cool for the first hour I played it. Then I traded it in when Bad Company came out a few weeks later. Graphics, gameplay, and controls are all 50% of Battlefield. Do not waste your time with this game it is terrible.
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars waves the white flag on the XBox

Excerpt: "...Just as with Quake Arena, Enemy Territory is centered around multiplayer games. Unfortunately this proves to be its biggest weakness. Earth has been invaded by the Strogg, an evil bio-mechanoid race of aliens intending to harvest the Earth of its riches and people. War rages across the continents. In both the single player campaign and the multiplayer fights you can choose to play as a human or a Strogg. Both sides have specific strengths (eg. Strogg ...
Pros: A lot of detail if you dig into it
Cons: Desperately average in all departments, little mulitplayer activity
Conclusion: Quite simply put , AVOID buying. Multiplayer is exactly the same as single player so variety is not a word associated with this game. The graphics are poor for a next gen console and the maps are limited and restrictive. The idea and concept of the game is great, but the application just isnt. Seems rushed and just put out to add another title to the Quake name.
Conclusion: Where do i start. Quake started out as a pc game back in the day and this was so groundbreaking. Quake 2 was the next step up with its online gameplay via 33kb. awesome. Quake 3 hey could and should have been so much better. UT3 stole the crown. Quake 4 never played it. Enemy Territory Quake Wars i was pinning my hopes on this after seeing the trailer. Bought the game for the xbox 360. Lag City. Gameplay yeah great online just lagged.
