Summary: so yeah when this game first came out it was pretty cool but now that there's so much better stuff out there, this game is just totally outdated. graphics are bad, the gameplay is seriously lacking and the online basically doesn't exist since there's no one to play with.
Summary: THIS GAME IS NOTHING LIKE THE OTHER QUAKE GAMES. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS ONE. NOT THE WORSE GAME I HAVE PLAYED BUT CLOSE. SOME MAY LIKE THIS GAME BUT I DO NOT. I DONT UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE OF THIS GAME. THERE IS NO STORY LINE.
Summary: Same old same old. Quake is just getting dumber and dumber. Nothing has changed about this game. So what the graphics are better who cares. Stay away from this over priced game unless you enjoy boredom.
Summary: Having made the mistake of ignoring reviews I rented this, luckily I used enough common sense to do so (and not buy it). Quake Wars brings you into a lesser known Quake setting...your own planet. Strongly departed from the old Quake experience it at least draws upon some old familiarities.
Summary: This game was cool for the first hour I played it. Then I traded it in when Bad Company came out a few weeks later. Graphics, gameplay, and controls are all 50% of Battlefield. Do not waste your time with this game it is terrible.
Conclusion: Where do i start. Quake started out as a pc game back in the day and this was so groundbreaking. Quake 2 was the next step up with its online gameplay via 33kb. awesome. Quake 3 hey could and should have been so much better. UT3 stole the crown. Quake 4 never played it.
Conclusion: Quite simply put , AVOID buying. Multiplayer is exactly the same as single player so variety is not a word associated with this game. The graphics are poor for a next gen console and the maps are limited and restrictive. The idea and concept of the game is great, but the application just isnt.
