Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Xbox 360 Review

Console Obsession
30 May 2010
  • Excerpt: If you’re more of a lone wolf, then the team based shooter may not be for you. If your entire team was made up of selfish people, it wouldn’t be much of a team now would it? It’s all about working to the strengths of your chosen class as you struggle with the opposition for dominance. Here, it’s the GDF versus the Strogg, human versus alien. Lets begin with a history lesson for our loyal readers.

Universe at War: Earth Assault Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: But I’ve saved the worst for last. Universe at War looks and performs horribly. The graphics are awful and grainy, and units are often too small to readily identify. The maps are drab and lifeless and worst of all, the framerate chugs like the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Why, it’s not like they’re pushing any major graphics. Online, things get even worse. One match I played in, the framerate dropped to single digits as soon as my opponent and I squared off in a battle.

  • Conclusion: The voiceovers, on the other hand, are interesting to say the least, with a bag of amusing scripts that help create a more laid-back atmosphere for casual players, such as humans screaming “I’m in disguise!” Unfortunately, the music is somewhat lacking in context. You'll listen to significantly budgeted score. Overall, Activision's move from the original PC to a more futuristic translation on the Xbox 360 console is a good one.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

True achievements
6 November 2008
  • Conclusion: Game Play: 9.0 out of 10.0 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Judgment If the game had better polished graphics, and maybe a few more online players, this would have been a really good game to stick with, but since some of the things aren't there, and a few things that need improvement, vehicle controls etc. it is just considered, one of those games that nobody plays anymore, and that my friends...

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

The Gamers Temple
5 November 2008
  • Excerpt: Date: 7/6/2008 Enemy Territory: Quake Wars first appeared on PCs last fall and now Xbox 360 gamers will have the chance to try out it's goal-based multiplayer battles.  The fact that the game is set before the events in Quake 2 probably mean a lot more to PC gamers than it does to console gamers, but familiarity with the Quake universe has little importance in the game.
