Summary: So I bought this on Xbox live for $3. Almost worth it, the story is so far up its own ass. Ancient angelic battles narrated by a Japanese hipster on a cell phone? As mentioned by others the art style is cool, but it's appeal wears out quickly. My biggest problem with the game is a lack of content. It's the same thing over and over. Jump from platform to platform fighting the exact same enemies. I have played $15 downloadable games with way more depth than this.
Summary: I decided to give this game a shot because many people have said to give this game a chance. I bought it, and I'll be honest, I'm really disappointed with this game. It's repetitive and I found the combat to be irritating and boring, in fact I stopped playing about an hour into the game because I was that bored. I think this game might not just be for me though so if you can pick the game up for under 10 bucks in your local store it might be worth a look.
Summary: I will admit that some of the visuals in this game are amazing, and the story is slightly interesting. However, the gameplay is extremely generic, repetitive, and annoying. It's really just a button masher, without any room for creativity or strategy in your playstyle. I also didn't like how there was no way to improve your weapons and armor.
Summary: The game was good music and scenery wise other than that it wasn't all that good. Just a button mashing game with very little weapons to choose from. It's a fun game to play at first but just gets repetitive over time and slowly bored me. Overall, give it a try and you'll never know if you like it or dislike it. All matters in your own opinion.
It is amazing to look at, but the gameplay is old and stale, with a few pointless new ideas.

Summary: I'm sure many of the people who have played this disagree with me, because I've heard everyone else I know who played El Shaddai loved it, at least on Easy mode. It is a MUST to change it to Easy to get through, unless you are OK with dying many times especially during boss battles. As I said, the game looks amazing, unique, and artistic.
Summary: Reading all of the rave reviews about this game, I decided to pick it up and give it a shot. That was my first mistake. El Shaddai is a mix of beautiful scenery, well orchestrated music, a fairly generic assortment of special moves and slashes and a fairly epic set of villains. But those issues were not the problem I have with El shaddai. MY problem is with the incredibly deep religious overtones.
