Summary: This is the second EDF game I've played and beat. The games are very similar and offer great gameplay. DISCLAIMER: If you are a fanatic about physics, graphics, or it being realistic, this is not the game for you.
Summary: Earth Defense Force 2017 is among my all time favorite games. It is elegantly simple. Almost nothing gets in the way of gameplay, no stupid NPCS, no artsy fartsy cinematics, no pointless puzzles, no objectives. All you did was pick two weapons and kill enemies. This one on the other hand, introduces a host of crappy non-gameplay mechanics, annoying objectives, worse enemies, worse controls, worse weapons, and overall is trying to be too much 'better' than its...
Summary: Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon (EDF) is a third-person co-operative shooter that can be played with up to 3 players or bots. Each level consists of several stages where the main objective is shooting gigantic bugs from space and moving from A to B through city blocks that can usually be levelled. The players are fenced in by invisible walls but at the end of a stage, these are usually shifted to allow the game to progress.
Summary: This game has chapters like in Left 4 Dead but features many weapons that must be unlocked. The difficulty gets harder in a fun way that allows you to enjoy the game while still getting new items. A shame there are only 2 DLCs available for this awesome game.
Summary: I liked this game way more than the first one, you have armor classes you can choose from which you couldn't in the first one, and now have abilities also with the armor class, it is still killing the bugs which is awesome, plus there is online play which is a plus, i really haven't found anything about this game that i do not like so all in all great fun game!
Summary: This game is worlds better the first game. It has 3 player coop and it has so much to shoot at. Also has a class system which gives you advantages and disadvantages. I would defiantly have friends over to play this or have some friends to play with online.
Summary: I love the EDF games so I loved this one. If you are not already a fan of EDF, or you aren't willing to put up with purosely campy dialogue plus repetitive bug-killing... then this game is probably not for you. I play it with my Brofriend and we really enjoy grinding the different classes up to max level and then nuking the heck out of bugs. This game has mediocre graphics but pretty responsive game play. There are some decent long-grind 'cheevos to get as well.
