Summary: I thought this game was amazing. It does not take it self seriously and it has some weird acting in it, but it is just so enjoyable to play with 4 people and go crazy killing bugs and trying not to kill your partner. Good times.
Summary: Being an old time video gamer I love the old games that you could just pick up and start blowing stuff up. No thought, no maps and no intricate story line just flat out having fun. Unfortunately today there are hardly any games like this anymore and it's also hard to find co-op (two player games as we used to call them)games anymore. Why aren't there more of these games around? Do we all want to sit alone and play or hook up on the internet and play?
Summary: We had to replace the game disc we had after a few years, so we bought this used one from Amazon. It could have passed for brand new if it had a heat-shrink wrapper. The case, case art, manual and disc were perfect. Very happy with seller. Silly, addictive shooter with lots of aliens (bugs and robots), great weapon upgrades, lots and lots to kill, many levels with varying difficulties, weapon selection can be critical at times, satisfying explosions and environment...
Summary: This game doesn't kid itself. There is no real story, the dialogue is poorly dubbed Japanese. All this game is, is killing waves upon waves of giant bug aliens with cool weapons. It's some of the most fun I've had in a video game. Cheap too.
Shoot Some Bugs, Robots, UFOs, and Invite a Friend
S. H. Wells, Amazon
3 August 2009
Summary: EDF2017 is fun. Lots of shooting at giant bugs, giant robots, giant UFOs. And you can play split-screen with a friend. I am not a hardcore gamer: so games that have complicated button combos drive me nuts (so do games where you die over and over again and have no idea which direction to walk) EDF 2017 is none of those things. Red on radar: go that way. No mazes: if a building is in the way, blow it up.
inexplicably one of the best games I have ever played
30 September 2008
Summary: When I first saw it I was completely turned off---the graphics are off-putting to say the least---but was I wrong. It's been a staple of gaming with a friend for a few months now. We are almost done with the entire thing, every weapon obtained, every level completed on every difficulty. All this probably took us, oh, seventy hours.
