Summary: From a first impression, this game doesn't seem like a big deal. Dated graphics, stiff controls, and major repetition in the levels. But do not let that keep you from playing this game; especially if you have someone to play with.
Summary: Local cooperative is the only way to play this game. Extremely fun to unlock weapons and gives you incentives to play the game on a higher difficulty. Recommended for people with some local friends - won't be disappointed.
The split-screen co-op in this game is great for gaming buddies.

Summary: I bought this game because I like to play split-screen from time to time with friends, and I got tired of playing some of my others. Let's face it, no matter how good a game is - sooner or later your going to want to try new games even if they look a little rough around the edges, if anything at least for a new experience. I tried every split-screen on the shelf before I bought this one from gamestop because it just looked so lame. I WAS WRONG!
Summary: Earth defence force 2017 is really cool mostly with the gameplay considering that everything else about it isn't very good but still, something I liked most about it was the achivemants, theres only 6 but gets you alota gamescore,It also has over 52 levels, 5 diffucultys and over 100 weapons,But most of the time you will chose a rocket launcher and a assult rifle. The thing I hate about the game is theres no xbox live,That stinks!
Summary: I have to agree with other postings. This game is like an old godzilla movie. Levels can be very hard, I've been playing coop with my kids and we're loving it. It's hard to find games that play coop and are still suitable for kids. yah! I like to kill spiders!
Summary: It's rare that a game gets panned and, upon reading about it, I realize it's the perfect game for me. Earth Defense Force (EDF) 2017 is a bit of a clunker, with unrealistic physics, repetitive enemies, and a terrible vehicle mechanic. Folks accustomed to the first-person smoothness of Halo or the gritty action of Gears of War would most certainly turn up their nose at EDF. But I loved every single level of it.
