  • Summary: I love a good adventure game, no matter how it’s broken down. Whether it’s first person, third person, a hack-and-slash with RPG elements, it does not matter to me. I want to play them all and I want every last one of them to be good.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Review

25 April 2013
  • Summary: Capcom have surpassed themselves with Dark Arisen, producing an expansion that feels focused and centred, rather than merely adding a load of new loot and kill quests scattered around well-trodden locales.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen review – Dark Souls 1.5

11 July 2013
  • Summary: A great value bundle that includes the original game, the new expansion, and some of the best action role-playing since Dark Souls.
  • Pros: A significant expansion and the world of Bitterback Isle is impressively well designed. Plenty of new enemies and equipment. Pawn system remains an interestingly unique feature.
  • Cons: The debt to Dark Souls is embarrassingly obvious at times and doesn’t help the game’s already poorly defined personality. Combat and visuals still lack punch.

  • Excerpt: For those of you who have never had the pleasure of playing the original, let me tell you what you’re going to get from the Dragon’s Dogma universe. Ready Up
3 May 2013
  • Summary: Dark Arisen is more of a rerelease with bells and whistles than a piece of DLC, and owners of the original game will have to decide whether they are enthused enough to reinvest in it.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

  • Pros: God udfordring, spændende nye omgivelser, hele originalen inkluderet
  • Cons: Pawns kan stadig irritere, diverse teknisk fnidder

8 May 2015
