Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is a video game that focuses on fighting rather than on collecting capsules and Dragon Balls. It was developed by Japan’s Dimps Corporation based on the anime/manga series Dragon Ball Z. It is the first High Definition (HD) release in the franchise. This game has been made available for the Microsoft Xbox and the Sony Playstation 3. It was published by Atari in North America and it was released on June 10, 2008.

The game offers a number of playable Dragon Ball Z characters. These playable characters include Goku, Kid Gohan, Teen Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Future Trunks, Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, Saibamen, Frieza, Captain Ginyu, Recoome, Cell, Android #16, Android #17, Android #18, Bardock, and Broly.

Each playable character is equipped with a unique finishing move. In the game, it is called the “Fatal Blow.” When used effectively, this move can instantly finish off the opponent. However, this move can only be used once in every game. Should the attack be unsuccessful, the player must finish the battle without a finishing move.

Apart from this, players are allowed to pick three different drama pieces for each character players. These can be activated through performing certain actions during battle. The drama pieces can function as anything from having the character’s health restored with a Senzu Bean to having a helper character attacking your opponent.

There are story sequences for the players to complete. After each story sequence, certain in-game content unlock. These include new characters, abilities, and battle stages.

Multiplayer Mode

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit can be played in multiplayer mode where its players can battle other players through an internet connection. This online features allows players to battle in both co-op and vs. modes.
